Thank you Jon for the great performance !! Today was the date Jon came to visit me in Tokyo ! In 1981! Miss you Jon so much ! Please remember Jonathan Henry Lee .💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞
The best live by Jon !!! And the proof that they were great when Jon was on the stage with them !!! That's what the greatest drummer can !!! When you have a drummer like Jon behind you ,you're so blessed you can do pretty much everything, anything you want !!! 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞
I knew this kind of comment would start. SHAME on her !! Andrew ( his older brother ) brought Jon's ,sorry body ,not ash, back to Newport ,Wales ! Please ignore these kinds of comments .Jon was the sweetest man in the world .
I predict this about two years ago. What they've been doing are damage controls.I will not respond to this lady ,or anyone coming back to me with comments like this ,or whom behind this . I KNOW who .Like I previously said,I'm done with clearing Jon's name & tinted images on UA-cam. I'll keep reminding people of Jon. The real sweet Jon !I won't start any conversation like a tabloid gossip column & circus which they want me to .I got no intention of doing so.
Amazing sound for 3 guys...I remember when this came out it was played on late night rock radio in the us other than that it wasnt really heard where I am..glad I picked up polythene though
Thanks so much for uploading this. Any videos of the early Feeder era are always great to watch. Bring back so many memories of the music and when they really were at their peak...Echo Park days. Dig the hairstyles. Atleast they didn't play in the orange boiler suits at Reading! Any drummers out there, I got this up on my channel! Thanks EliteGi!
yes, and i think it’s pretty cool. i’m a huge fan of shoegaze and i really wish they kept going in that direction. their first couple albums were actually pretty good, but from what i hear they became ‘washed up’. it would’ve been cool if they were up there with slowdive or MBV
why dont they play this anymore, this is the best ive performance ive seen by them. theyre mainstream hits may be more catchy but this is unmatched by their shows today. i suppose grants voice has changed and their vibe has mellowed considerably since their original drummer's suicide
I definitely would buy any of Jon's kits. I know the kit that he used in this video was up for sale. He had so much talent, a waste of life to be honest.
Apparently the newest version of Descend live (past few months)is the best. I haven't heard it for myself but apparently it has Mark and Grant jamming through the middle. I would love to hear it though, this song is simply sensational live.
Yeah you're right. Silent cry is an amazing album, and it is also my favourite (depending on mood) but it's much more commercial and much softer than their older stuff. After a couple of listens it bores me to death, and the only solution to it is to put up Polythene or Swim. They've gone downwards since YWTS, no way. I agree that 2006 was their best year, the new songs were just amazing. Luckily the songs on the Seven sleepers EP are much heavier and their b-sides are still great and less poppy
I wouldn't say silent cry is a fantastic piece of work from feeder, however there are some brilleant songs on that album ( sonorous, yeah yeah) and grant put a lot of effort into that album. I just got the feeling they tried to hard with silent cry and its by no means their second best, it has to be ywts. It will be interesting to see what their next album will sound like, they should create that sound seen in b sides such as bruised, a mixture of comfort in sound with yesterday went to soon
mmm, he doesn't have "more pickups" just different ones, the jazzmaster comes with 2 "soap bar" pickups, grant kept the neck one but changes the bridge pickup, i've seen it with 2 different kinds of humbuckers (probably gibson) at the bridge. He's changed both on his silver one to humbuckers though.
Ah those were the days, back when rock bands wrote actual songs with actual melodies you could tell apart from all the other tunes on their albums and songs that would make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. Unlike the wealth of utter shite that's been on offer for seemingly the last 10 years now. It's almost as if nature decided that after a certain point no human was to be born in the UK with the ability to write a decent fucking rock song.
although more rocky upbeat songs would be cool, the sad songs are still fucking great, feeling a moment = fucking awesome song, comfourt in sound, another great song, anyway what are you talk'n bout, lost and found was upbeat rocky, and save us kinda was lol, they have a new album coming too so, yayayayayayay lol
acctually i have an interview where the frontman said his favourite song is milk it by nirvana, so i know they are to an extent. especially with the use of loud, quiet, loud technique which was stolen from the pixies preliminary. and yes i have listened to their other stuff and i would agree that doesn't sound particuarly nirvana influenced but i think their old stuff does.
@@TheHobatron something that wasn't really different. Why not try something that wasn't already a popular, and common sound? Sometimes, bands can go a non commercial direction, mmkay.
Losing Jon definitely hurt Feeder !! As Jon was the music of Feeder really ! I was his crush & 1st love ! Jon was the most talented individual I've ever met in my life !! Jon's athleticism adds something that others can't follow ,or mimic !! He was really super fast when he crossed streets ,etc. Like no a human !! Jon was the most artistic type in the band as well.💜🥁🐉🎤💞
no feeder havent peaked, your thinkin about the day when feeder will deide to call it day and everyone will appreciate what they have done. Im not lettin feeder win as you put it, thats exactly what im not doin. As a fan who has listened to every song and likes every song im not bothered what the music world thinks of feeder. SC was decent and was pure feeder, but there has been better
Wow... this song hits even better live... What a voice!!
For me polythene was their true feeder sound . I understand why they had to change it but this album was glorious and beautiful
Comfort in Sound and Pushing the Senses are epic bro
The best Feeder song imo, I cannot see how anyone could not appreciate a live version of Descend - great performance on this video too.
Thank you Jon for the great performance !! Today was the date Jon came to visit me in Tokyo ! In 1981! Miss you Jon so much ! Please remember Jonathan Henry Lee .💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞
Damn Grant, that voice !!! R.I.P Jon Lee, best Feeder drummer ever...
That was a bloody awesome performance! I miss this Feeder, I miss those awesome little solos he used to do in between...
This is peak Feeder IMO, love this performance!
This might be the best live recording I've ever seen
The best live by Jon !!! And the proof that they were great when Jon was on the stage with them !!! That's what the greatest drummer can !!! When you have a drummer like Jon behind you ,you're so blessed you can do pretty much everything, anything you want !!! 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞
Theirs for sure.
Epic innit…
The greatest ,the sexiest rock drummer ,Jon Lee !!! My dragon ! Please remember Jonathan Henry Lee. Never ever forget Jon !!! 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞
Jon Lee my ex for 8 years of hell.
No one knew him. I did. I flew his body from Miami to Wales to bury him. You know nothing.
I knew this kind of comment would start. SHAME on her !! Andrew ( his older brother ) brought Jon's ,sorry body ,not ash, back to Newport ,Wales ! Please ignore these kinds of comments .Jon was the sweetest man in the world .

he had such a powerful voice back then..
Amazing sound for 3 guys...I remember when this came out it was played on late night rock radio in the us other than that it wasnt really heard where I am..glad I picked up polythene though
Saw them live in 2001 at Reading Festival. great weather too!
I was at this gig, they stole the day
grants vocals here are amazing, bet i've seen live in ages lol, insanely good, too bad he can't still do that for feeling a moment live
BEST LIVE EVER
Happy birthday JON my dragon . I miss you everyday .💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞
The first and best festival day of my life!!
A poor man's Bush/Silverchair hybrid. Good songs. Lot of nostalgia!
"Machine guns pumping / hearts thumping / .....GLYCERINE! Lolol
Thanks so much for uploading this. Any videos of the early Feeder era are always great to watch. Bring back so many memories of the music and when they really were at their peak...Echo Park days.

Thanks EliteGi!
If you have ever seen them live I am AMAZED you haven't heard them play it. I thought they played it at alomost every concert.
best song ever
I was there! have seen them tons more since then and have tickets to see them in a tiny tiny venue in bristol at the end of may!
Result.
Very Nirvana. Great band. Great frontman.
Feeder est le meilleur groupe de rock au monde. Sa dechire tout simplement!!!!!!!
i love this song!!
Does anyone think that feeder early material has some shoegaze influence as well as there grunge sound?
yes, and i think it’s pretty cool. i’m a huge fan of shoegaze and i really wish they kept going in that direction. their first couple albums were actually pretty good, but from what i hear they became ‘washed up’. it would’ve been cool if they were up there with slowdive or MBV
There early material is very similar to Space Rock band Hum, which both Hum and Feeder did support Everclear in 1996 in the UK i do believe
Polythene is such an underrated album
the best one!
28/ 3/68 Jon Lee was born .💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞
THey do still play it.
5:12 to 7:05 my favorite part of this song performance.
why dont they play this anymore, this is the best ive performance ive seen by them. theyre mainstream hits may be more catchy but this is unmatched by their shows today. i suppose grants voice has changed and their vibe has mellowed considerably since their original drummer's suicide
I definitely would buy any of Jon's kits. I know the kit that he used in this video was up for sale. He had so much talent, a waste of life to be honest.
Grant suffered a torn vocal chord a few years back, so singing these old songs just isn't possible anymore :(
He still sounds decent. They sound more like, Coldplay now
Apparently the newest version of Descend live (past few months)is the best. I haven't heard it for myself but apparently it has Mark and Grant jamming through the middle. I would love to hear it though, this song is simply sensational live.
Nobody can do it better than Jon !
Yeah you're right. Silent cry is an amazing album, and it is also my favourite (depending on mood) but it's much more commercial and much softer than their older stuff. its a '67 fender jazzmaster, lol, he also has a silver one, he also sometimes used to use a gibson SG
I wouldn't say silent cry is a fantastic piece of work from feeder, however there are some brilleant songs on that album ( sonorous, yeah yeah) and grant put a lot of effort into that album. @wildebest the entire ending was perfect. ahah
P.S. After The Wildhearts, Therapy? etc retire we're fucked.
los mejores diosssssssss ^^
Jon Lee, the drummer did.
mmm, he doesn't have "more pickups" just different ones, the jazzmaster comes with 2 "soap bar" pickups, grant kept the neck one but changes the bridge pickup, i've seen it with 2 different kinds of humbuckers (probably gibson) at the bridge. damn.. takas kicking ass
i've never heard that song untill now, in which cd is it?
Swim
Also on Polythene
This is FEEDER....
true

Don't believe all the credits literally. They are often not true!
@EliteGi wwhats imho? :O lol
although more rocky upbeat songs would be cool, the sad songs are still fucking great, feeling a moment = fucking awesome song, comfourt in sound, another great song, anyway what are you talk'n bout, lost and found was upbeat rocky, and save us kinda was lol, they have a new album coming too so, yayayayayayay lol
why does your uncle hate feeder?
Grant sings like K.Cobain.
Grant is so you g and very talented by playing a instrument like the electric guitar 🎸 and doing backing vocals in recording studio.
acctually i have an interview where the frontman said his favourite song is milk it by nirvana, so i know they are to an extent. especially with the use of loud, quiet, loud technique which was stolen from the pixies preliminary. and yes i have listened to their other stuff and i would agree that doesn't sound particuarly nirvana influenced but i think their old stuff does.
I liked Silent Cry but Renegades is very very good. I don't like the new one though :(
looks like and sounds like Kurt Cobain (in his style of play)
Amazing. Shame after Jon's death, they subtracted guitars, and added Coldplay like piano based arrangements.
What to this song?
no, their sound just went to mellow mush
Shame that a band wanted to try something different? Kay.
@@TheHobatron something that wasn't really different. Why not try something that wasn't already a popular, and common sound? Sometimes, bands can go a non commercial direction, mmkay.

whats the big deal, they're not worth that much, plus they're a top amp so why wouldn't he want the best sound for live lol
but today the voice of grant....is very spoilt. why??? the change from 2001 to 2006 are huge...but i love grant !!!
fucking hell...
nirvana influenced much?
yeah, the problem is the voice of grant in this days, are very spoilt, without power.... why ??someone know?
not really its more of smashing pumpkins influence
disagreed!
