Bocote and Holly for small projects, boxes, turnings and Walnut and Maple for larger projects. I like the contrast between dark and light species in any size and style of project when possible.
Hi David! Haven't seen you in ages! Great to see these episodes available on UA-cam. And fun to see your shop again and that beautiful bench. All the best to you...
What are your favorite wood combinations you’ve worked with?
Curlie Maple and Texas Mesquite
Peruvian Walnut and Birdseye Maple
walnut and maple too

I use cherry wood for most of my projects. Maple with other exotic woods are great for visual interest.
So glad these are available to watch again!
this episode introduced me to Australian lacewood. I've used it on a number of my projects. thank you, David
When David says something is "challenging to build," you know it's going to be a doozie.
It’s crazy how many projects from which I have taken inspiration. Another absolutely beautiful build.
Great to see these episodes being posted. Your artistry is always inspiring.
I remember watching this on TV 20-odd years ago. This show was a Saturday morning staple for me.
