Interesting leaning about his ‘expensive footrest’. John always comes over as an ordinary guy who is happy to discuss music. He is a very accomplished guitar player. Thanks again Dan.
I think he likes the fact that the footrest is shiny silver metal, as it makes it look cool! LOL! For the level of player that he is, it's a little surprising how humble his personality is. He certainly seems laid back with no rock-star attitude. As far as his playing is concerned, my God is he an accomplished player! He's like Vai and Hendrix...from another planet.
@@bd5933 I've been blown away each time I've seen him live. I had the pleasure of catching him on the G3 Tour a few times, the first with Satriani, and Vai. Just incredible. Take care.
@@BigIsk52 Sadly only seen him and Dream Theater once in February 2020. I have seen some great guitarists - Gilmour, Blackmore, Townsend and Clapton to name a few and his performance was up there with their performances. I am good Tim - I live in Wales in the UK. There was one day last week when there wasn’t a single death due to Covid. I look forward to the days when I can start thinking about booking concerts again - I was about to book for Rammstein, Jeff Beck and Steve Hackett (ex Genesis) when the pandemic started. Stay safe too and take care.
The sheer commitment to excellence and attention to detail that goes into everything he does. It's an injustice that most pro players don't put in a fraction of that effort, yet are more "popular" in the eyes of the public.

@@bd5933 It's very easy to understand why! He's just a monster on guitar!

Ditto!
