nice tutorial, simple and to the point. about to tackle this now.
Thank you!
You probably have fixed it by now but the stabilizer bar link should be straight up and down ! Not cross behind strut !
Thanks for the info thou !
Yes sir I did lol
Yeah I saw that..and I noticed the upper strut mount was on the leftside when he took it off but on the right side after installed. Like there's a left and an right strut. U can make em work on either side but it won't be right. But he probably saw that later or didn't care.. but the video was still helpful.
Always recommend backup jack stands
Hey, thanks a lot for this. I just flopped out two old screwed struts with a quickstrut assembly without the fear of losing my head to a spring!
You make it look easy, it seems a little complicated.
Seems easier than I thought. Thanks for the video
Just curious on how well they held up. I need to replace my struts in my 12' and your video was the first one that popped up for me.
Man, you're such a tremendous help. This will help me with my 2013 GT! THANKS 👌🏾🔥
Hope I could help!
Wider tires can add bump steer I’ve noticed as well. I have bump steer way worse in camaro over focus
Now that time has passed how well did you like these struts and did the ride improve?
I am in Houston too man and roads can be terrible. I have 75k on my GT and looking at replacing my suspension.
Those are interesting looking bolts 😛
Thank you didn’t know this was a common mustang issue my 14 gt only has 25k miles and just started shaking on the driver side going over bumps
Don’t forget to go ahead.
Thank you so much ❤this is the perfect video I needed bro,
Did you like going back to OEM height? I kinda don’t wanna lower mines either!
Now I’m going to go ahead and count how many times you said, “go ahead.”
🤣😂
What did that count come out to?
Great video, invest in too some impact tools. They make the job easier.
Great video im replacing 2 front ones
Why did you attach your tire rod to the right side and not the left? It was attached to the left at the start
I fixed it after I edited lol
Im confused when I’m purchasing new struts for my car. Im assuming that my 2014 v6 mustang has rear struts but whenever I try to buy the equipment online; all I find is front struts and rear shocks. Is this all I need?
I'm thinking about ordering these. Did they work well for you?
Really dumb question but is it just the 2 struts with the springs in the front and 2 shocks in the back?
Great video man! Quick question for you, I’m trying to get a replacement strut set for my 14’ with 20” wheels, most of the sets claim not suitable for wheels over 19” do you have any expertise on the subject.
If it has any fitment issues, get an adjustable panhard bar so you can push your wheels out the correct amount. But I wouldn’t worry. I have 19s on the back now. I’ve bought other wheels since this video
Very helpful! Thank you
Maybe you should open a suspension or exhaust shop.
Did you have use a torque wrench for any of the bolts?
Did you get the alignment done after you changed the struts
Was it $243 for the set or each?
Do you need an alignment after that>?
You need an air compressor and some air tools my friend. Next time you do any work let me know. I have all the tools, jacks, stands, ect you could ever need. You're welcome to it any time
I have 2 air compressors, now I just need the air tools! But I appreciate it dude 👍🏻 might need to take you up on that offer lmao
@@BubbaBlueTube anytime man I know my way around a wrench and dont mind lending a hand
Hey man don’t know if you’ll still respond but took my car to ford and was told I needa replace my left strut . Was thinkin about buying these and my question to you is would you still recommend these ??
Still running these since I installed them years ago with no issue!
@@BubbaBlueTube had seen on the other comments that u replaced these with gt500 struts not to long after , that these didn’t last that long . But u had said u still have on car , that u had no issues with them
Nice man. I’m moving to Houston next summer with a then boosted 5.0. How hot does it get??
Hottest is about 100-102 in mid July that lasts till about late August
How does the TRQ work as in quality ride?
How long did those struts last for you ? I read online they worn out after only a year... which sounds weird ( I rather talk miles as well, do they last at least 50k miles ? )
I actually changed them out the next year. Nothing wrong with them, I just wanted the gt500 style.
Who changes struts in the dark
Ya man I can't believe a shop would try to charge so much for a strut change
They’re counting on most people thinking it’s too difficult
Where did you get the kit from?
amzn.to/2L6JsmZ
Here you go 👍🏻 exact ones in this video.
Did it lower the car?
So how are the struts holding up
Didn’t last long at all lol don’t buy cheap
@@BubbaBlueTube damn what happened
@@BubbaBlueTube please tell me more about it. I have placed the order? Should I cancel it?
I bet she tells you that a lot
