Thank you for sharing this wonderful video and mentioning the importance of looking after your mental health. I loved everything about it. I kayaked last summer in that exact spot! I wild swim, coastal walk, and bike ride to keep my mental health in check. Keep up the great work!
Thank you for watching. I’m really glad you enjoyed the video and the topic I raised in this video. This coast line really is beautiful isn’t it. Wow you hobbies sound like everything I enjoy doing on this channel. Thanks for commenting too 😊
For me connecting with nature is a must for my mental wellbeing, whether that's being in the country side or working in the garden. Also the gym is an important part of my life and keeps me sane & healthy 😎 Great vlog again Shaun and I'm counting down the days now when I'll be able to get in the Cornish sea! 🤗😎👌
Thank you for watching Andrew glad you enjoyed the video. Yes exercise and the outside environment gives you a healthy mind. I bet you can’t wait to get the water and it’s actually starting to warm up now too. 👍
Thank you and yes I feel very lucky to just have it on my doorstep. I can’t believe I’ve never seen the cave before being that it’s just around the corner from one of my favourite beaches
Thanks so much for the mention, Shaun :) Loved that view from inside the mini cave, cor! And great music for the swimming sequences. I so enjoy your swimming videos. The thing that helps my mental health is getting out for a long-ish walk each day, wherever I go. Ideally beach, or countryside but city walks are nice too (which is lucky as I live in one...) Walking keeps me sane.
Glad you enjoyed the video Vicky. I only ever recommend channels that I really enjoy watching and I really enjoy your videos. They’re very chilled out and relaxing. I think a lot of my viewers will love them too. Walks are great and I enjoy them too. I just need to get outside at least once a day so a walk or a swim or something. Cracking video again shaun. And what an amazing find those to caves wow. I also like your speech at the beginning because everyone is fighting there own battle and you never know what people are going through! My favorite thing to do is clay pigeon shooting it totally clears my mind anf relaxes me. Keep up the good work.
Wow clay pigeon shooting a bit that’s a lot of fun. I think I did it once in my younger years but probably didn’t hit anything else I probably wouldn’t remembered doing it. And yes everyone is fighting their own battles and some times unfortunately you become their punching bag but that’s just the way things are I guess. I couldn’t agree more Jon. There’s way too much negativity in this world hence why I really want this channel to be a really positive place with light hearted fun. Hopefully most of my viewers get that that’s what I’m trying to get across 😊
Glad you enjoyed it Emma. Yea Falmouth is great isn’t it. I love living here. A lot of my videos are based in Falmouth but I try to get all over Cornwall to make videos too. Thanks for watching 😊
Another Good video, ditch those full foot fins, go boots and pocket fins. Also those really small caves and gulleys be careful, every cubic metre of seawater is over one tonne! On a ever so slightly choppy day in a tight spot like that it can actually slam you hard, and you won't realise it until your right in close, as it will look benign. 👍
Thanks for the tips. Yea I quickly gave up on the little bit of plastic when I realised how strong the water was coming in. I actually have some pocket fins but don’t use them very much because they’re very heavy but will probably get some new lighter ones as they’re at least 20 years old. Thanks for watching glad you enjoyed it .
Perranporth is fantastic but I would definitely recommend a trip to Falmouth, Kynance Cove, Port Issac and Porthtowan beach. These are some of my favourite spots
Cheers Jon that’s really kind mate. You’ll probably see me at the bar at the Chainlocker in Falmouth at some point once they let us back in that is anyway 😆
Epic vlog dude. Super chilled out dude vine with a positive message. For me, it's about the sea, as long as I am by the sea I am happy. However when I am away its the total opposite. Ups and downs haha. Good on you for Grabbing that plastic. I normally fill my SUP travel net with it haha. 😁.
Thanks you two. Yea I’m with you if I’m not near the sea I do get very grumpy. There’s something about the sea air that just relaxes me. I know that grabbing a few bits of plastic won’t change the world but I hope my videos will encourage others to do the same and maybe one day we’ll make a difference 👍
I really love these swimming videos of yours, and all the effort you are making to make them stand out. Do you actually bring a drone to film yourself from above while swimming? I also admire that you are so serious about picking up plastic. And those caves were amazing to watch! I have luckily no serious mental issues, but I like walking in the nature. It can be quite mentally draining to have constant pain and other physial challenges, so I also do my best to take care of my physical health to avoid physical issues. I also like to knit and sew and to read books. Keeping contact with friends and family also gives me great joy. And last but not least, it gives me a great pleasure to watch videos like yours :-) Thank you :-)
Thank you Torunn, I take the drone with me to the beach and normally fly it before I get in the water to give me an idea of where I’m going and then I just put the footage in to show a different view of where I’m swimming. It sounds like you have so many hobbies that keep you active which is fantastic and it’s always great keep in contact with friends and family. I try to set an example with my litter picking and my hatred from graffiti, I really want to encourage people to pick up litter if they see it whether it’s their litter or not. I mean don’t get me wrong me picking up 1 plastic bottle isn’t going to save our oceans but if we all do our part then they will improve. Thank you for continuing to watch 😊

There are lots of great snorkel spots on the south coast where the rip currents and tides are more friendly and safer for snorkelling. Some great spots are Gunwalloe, or even Marazion on a nice calm day.
