- 'Tightened'reas' is a 'Tightened Vice/Thrice' sequel mod for GTA San Andreas, that seeks to make every single mission in the game harder, with a focus on ruining the muscle memory of speedrunners...
- Dine & Dash -
* A convenient Banshee is parked outside Caligula's.
* Sal calls CJ on his way to the airport.
* The Marker to get to LC is now much closer to LV.
* It now snows in Liberty City.
* Toni Cipriani now drops you off, & in a Sentinel BMR, rather than a random taxi.
* Toni and CJ have a conversation on the drive over to Marco's Bistro.
* The Forellis are better armed.
* Upon taking out all of the Forellis in the bistro, Marco will escape!
* You must now pursue Marco through the streets of Liberty, riding shotgun with Toni.
* You need to destroy Marco's car before his guys destroy Toni's!
* Tommy calls CJ during his flight home.
* The mission pass music is replaced with the LCS theme.
Cool fact is that Saint Mark’s Bistro was really going to have a car chase around Portland but was cut due to PS2’s file size limits. So not only this mod makes this mission harder, it also restores its original vision.
Hey I thought this mod was supposed to make the game harder not more enjoyable and better written. Holy shit tho, good job.

And what makes it even better is that none of the protagonists are getting killed off, like Rockstar did with Johnny and Vic
I forgot this was even supposed to be a 'harder version' mod lately. The mission reworks are beautiful with all the alternate options and new cutscenes.

That Portland looks amazing, shame Rockstar couldn't implemented whole Liberty for S.A., or at least solid Portland and rest of the city like ghost town in 3. Also, it's funny, that Toni's calling CJ a kid, while both were born in 1968
But Toni's age is unknown, all there is is speculation

@@MrPaxtonynsky yeah, but those are wikies written by fans, so, still speculation, i remember for a time in the gta wiki it said that toni was younger than vincenzo, which makes no sense at all, so they are not that reliable
@@darthpepo1 agree, but looking on them both, i can sense that they're in similar age, while i read that in 1992, CJ was the youngest protagonist (the youngest documented was Luis from TBOGT) while in Toni case, was stated, that he's in his thirties in LCS, not sure how old exactly. But in Vinny case, never heard he was older, more so, i heard Toni disrespected him, because of being capo, who's so young, and younger than Toni.

The only question though, the police (no stars?), they can't do nothing to you because of large and scripted speed, is there any way to make them more dangerous?
Adding actual RNG police into a mission where you're in no control of your vehicle throws way too much luck into a mod meant to be speedrun friendly.

Toni's Ma calling out Toni for shooting outside of her restaurant is sooo Ma LMFAO, CJ must've had a difficult time to hold his laugh
Edit: i'm also a modder of GTA San Andreas, i remember when i included the dialogues of the control tower if CJ is flying too near the tower, those dialogues were too hilarious to NOT include them

Man. The game takes place in 1994. LCS takes place in 1998 how tf Toni is in charge and Right Hand Man for Sal in 1994 (That's Tightened'reas in a shellnut).
SA is actually 1992, but regardless, what makes you think Toni is Sal's "right hand man" here?
The task Sal assigns him is to drive CJ from the airport to Marco's Bistro, not really something you need your best guy for. Toni takes it upon himself to rescue the situation that CJ screws up, which if anything supports Toni's rise in the family later on, given his initiative and cool head in saving a bad situation.

No, Portland is still limited to just this "on rails" section. It's a much bigger chunk, but still only the parts that're needed for the mission.

Why do I belive you changed the bike for a Banchee just as a LC refference? :DD
Also, would it be too much to ask to temporarely remove your weapons as you go trough the airports? You can give CJ a pistol as a `Gift` from Tony since enemies don`t seem to have extra health and you might be able to pick up more than enough ammo for the shooting itself (seeing that you also added an extra 5k ammo for the SMG when the driveby starts, so most of the problem is resolved)

I like the small touches like restoring the cut voice lines when landing, additional drive by shootout n such but those ai voices need a lot of work to and more breaks in the speech.
Imo you would have to manually edit each one of them individually to get it better

There should be a mildly tightened version where it includes all the enhancements but minus the difficulty changes and punishing stuff. It would be a perfect QoL mod.

Hey Moonboye, just asking: since Tightenedreas will inevitably be released someday. Alot of this mod's fanbase really like the changes in the story (Ryder's role for example) and the mechanics of some missions (Jizzy's chasedown being on bike). Any plans to make a less difficult version of this, like slightly easier missions than this mod offers? A kind of "Slightened" version of this mod?

GTA games did not needed any visuals updates to be respectfully remastered. There was only needed to be added, what R* did not came with at the right time.

I think Toni’s father was alive at the time and Toni became a good associate of Salvatore by 1994 so perhaps that’s a bit of a lore violation
You have a source for that? Other than some fan wiki stuff, as far as I'm aware they never officially went into that kind of detail about Toni's father.
@@moonboyeIt’s mentioned in the GTA fandom that Toni’s been a well-ranked Leone member by ‘94. Toni is pretty much as dangerous and capable as Tommy so I would imagine he easily climbed the ranks as he did in ’98
@@justsomeguy747 You should remove it from GTA Fandom then, because there is no confirmation of this in any of the games. If anything, this mission is amazing lore-wise: Toni escaped in 1993 because he killed a made man. Marco Forreli seems to be that made man, according to Tightened'reas.
@@ortodogge Actually it would also be a lore violation. Marco is the Forellis’ Don, an infinitely higher rank than a made man. If Toni killed Marco, he would’ve had to lay low for far longer than he did.

Why can't you kill the Forellis that were on the bike? Are you unable to aim at them or did you script them a bit wrong?
You can, it's a combination of the smg's accuracy and the riders not falling off the bike unless they die.
@@moonboye So you mean if the accuracy is not high enough you are gonna have a harder time being able to shoot them?
@@Nacho_1337 No, I'm saying the accuracy of smgs when CJ is in this type of drive-by "turret" mode is quite low, meaning it takes a fair few shots to down a rider (especially as they have decent health). It's entirely possible to do here, but it's way more important to focus your shots on Marco's car in order to pass the mission.
@@moonboye No i get that the accuracy is low when CJ is in the drive-by "turret" mode as you replied like that, and yeah it is OBVIOUSLY better to just focus on blowing up Marco's car rather than trying to kill the Forellis that are on the bikes, since they don't really pose that big of a threat so you can just ignore them.

Sonny is the Don of the Forelli Family, when he dies his brother Marco takes his place and in this mission CJ sends Marco to heaven, so Tommy finally calls him on the phone because since Tommy killed Sonny, the Forellis are causing trouble for Tommy. so Tommy thanks Cj.

Yes. Leones are an additional gang that spawn around Caligula's in LV, they have that as one of their cars.

I'm sorry if its a dumb question, I'm a pretty casual gamer. Is it gonna be playable with a 60 fps 3rd party lock? Or the physics will be completely broken? I've been playing 60 fps SA from like 2008, so I've used to shitty driving and other stuff.
It's built around 30fps, everything is balanced for that. It might work at 60... but I wouldn't recommend it, nor do I have any intention of trying to also support that fully, just not really feasible to do both, unfortunately.
