Don't know about anyone else, but the reason I watch your content is because it's different from the typical photography channel. The videos feel a lot more about the art and philosophy of photography and just feels more... substantial? The vibes are good so it's always a good day when you drop a video

I too appreciate images that somehow “challenge” the viewer and often contain little surprises. My current curiosity is why so many young photographers (I’m in my 60s and have been filming the world since I was 6 or 7 when my dad taught me movie making and sunny 16), are spending lots of money filming places rather than faces. Landscapes are nice, but locations rarely change. People as subjects, or even just somewhere in the photo, always capture viewer attention and illicit wonder.. adding to the “story in the image”. Your subject matter, by virtue of the chaos, does the same. Bravo sir.

The fact that you aren't chasing trends or posting clickbait is enough for me to hang around. But the obvious passion you have for making photographs and videos gives your content the story and depth that I'm looking for. Thank you for that and keep it up.

Speaking of danger, I went many times to an abandoned fruit juice factory, tested old cameras from the 50s, 60s, 70s (mostly Rollei 35), enjoyed taking pictures there, until a pack of dogs appeared there , they would all be as tall as me if they stood on their hind legs, when they saw me they started barking and growling and headed towards me, I seem to have done a good job of not being scared because they didn't tear me apart, I spoke to them in a calm voice and I gave them my hand to smell it and slowly made my way out of the great hall where I was, and I haven't set foot there since.
I really like photography, but I also really like to stay in one piece 🙂

Robbie, apart from the visuals, your sound design is exquisite. Is the audio recorded en site or do you use some audio resources? And the music ofcourse. Real class.

I always appreciate when someone comments on the sounds - I use a combo of the shotgun mic on my video recorder and sounds from my Zoom H5 which I usually collect sounds from every scene I photograph. Thanks bud!

I love watching the journal entry type of videos. Im done watching others compare this vs that. I have the equipment that I want, I need someone to help motivate me to get out there and find those images. The images you produce are the little nuggets of motivation that I need.

you have become my favorite creator on this platform. the intentionality behind your process to photography has inspired me in a way that i cant put into words. i deeply love the way you capture life and landscapes. please keep being yourself. also the journal entry style videos are my FAVORITE. the slowness and peace of your videos is something completely opposing to todays videos and editing style, its so refreshing. thank you!
