    What a great era then.
Characters like Gerry Marshall really helped carry the public

@4:00 I don't know who that is, but every time I watch this film (which I've seen many times) I can't help but think: "there goes The Incredible Bullshitting Man". Caught by the camera he's the prototype of all those guys who can't admit they don't know anything.

Today's Vauxhall is just a Peugeot Citroen platform and Peugeot Citroen parts cobbled together then given a Vauxhall badge. GM made a big mistake selling Vauxhall Motors to PSA Groupe, now Stellantis. The cars today have none of the soul and passion that the GM based Vauxhalls did.
I like it when Gerry wears his quilted nylon Vauxhall rallye jacket and quilted Vauxhall nylon bodywarmer keeping his cigar in his mouth all of the time.
I remember those quilted jackets and bodywarmers in the 70's, a lot of men wore them, and they'd come with various oil / car and motor manufacturers badges and stripes on .

What an honest Man the team owner was for Vauxhall., compared to the ego driven arseholes as Managers today in Motorsport....yuk
