When you cook squid next time pull their head out of the wings, clean the inside out, and take the skin off of the wings. Once you do that you can cut the wings into calamari strips. If you get a chance watch one of Youngbloods squid videos he does it well

Son, you’re in my old stomping grounds. My mama’s daddy used to run liquor through there for Al Capone back in the day and he was a commercial fisherman. My uncle was a guide back in the 70s and took people like Larry Zonka fishing out there.

Gabe, here's a tip. When you cook squid, soak it in milk or buttermilk for a few hours before you cook it. And when you cook it, barely cook it. Slightly under cooked is best. Otherwise, it's like eating rubber bands. Just an FYI. Love the vids. Keep them coming.
I don’t eat bloodline either Gabe, not when there’s an abundance of top loin and belly to eat. I think it’s why some people don’t like eating fish. I use my 5” Danco knife for an ice pick, i prefer using some block ice mixed with the crushed. Your food looks amazing. Fun watching Frank gobble bloodline.

Re: squid--you either cook it for just a little while, or a long time. If you don't, it gets rubbery. If it's cooked too long, it turns to rubber. And--etouffee' just means smothered, so if you smothered the shrimp, I think you could call it etouffee'. (We live in Southwest Louisiana, in Cajun Country.)

You all are KILLING ME with that sissy dance you did with that Itty Bitty squid "gonna bite me" ROFLMAO FYI, next time pull the guts & cuttlebone out of the squid, pull the thin membrane skin off and rinse the body then cook. For the head, cut between the tentacles and eyes, pitch the eyes to the crab, pop the beak out of the tentacles and cook it up. Great video that shows how Blue Gabe is Getting it done!

U gotta clean the outter skin off squid and take the beak out of the head of squid which is the little piece that was in it lol .... but hey I like Bluegabe style as well ... looked so good yummm
You can cook the tentacles from the eyes down, then with the guts removed you cut the Squid into rings. They still currel up a bit, but delicious. God bless. Another great video😁

Anyway, like I was sayin', shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That- that's about it.

Etouffee is made with a trinity and roux, that's more of a shrimp bearnaise, but boy does that look good!
