The triangle locking barrel is pretty awesome and to get that kind of machine work properly done it's going to have a pretty hefty price tag. If I had the money I would definitely buy one over something like a Laugo Alien or similar priced Gucci gun. This at least stands out both mechanically and aesthetically. I feel like a lot of these expensive high-end guns are missing in the aesthetics department. This gives me very hefty Men In Black vibes. Stunning! 😍
I await Ian's mud test like he did for his Laugo Alien. He has his custom Elysien named with "Predator" engraved on it. He and InRange run an AVP Brutality.
Agreed, I’ve always preferred a combination of both form and function, this is a beautiful gun and a call back to the classic guns as art pieces from master gunsmiths of days gone by.
No one who ever buys this is going to have it out of a safe long enough to think about accidentally dropping it. It will be pulled out once a year for a group of 10 cloaked Illuminati to share in a ritual sacrifice.
This dude has the golden ratio and magnets built into his Heavenly Handgun from Olympus™️. This is at least an epic quality loot from from the next Cyberpunk DLC.
I could see that red dot going out of alignment with the force of repeated firing requiring you to zero in the sight more often due to the design. To me it looks like it needs another arm facing forwards as well (still fixed on side of course) to make it more secure/stable. Not too sure about the magnets either. Love the concept of fixed red dots with free moving slide though and the gun looks pretty out there!
“It has a proprietary triangle barrel that’s super expensive and allows it to lock up like a fixed barrel” “So why not just give it a fixed barrel?” “Uh…… magnets?”
I really dig the aesthetics. Wonder how all those magnets will hold up after a series of extended firing sessions. Then again, it's a designer piece for collectors amd clearly not meant to be used extensively.
Fun fact: The Czechs have the highest beer consumption per capita. Looks great after a couple of drinks, I think. I'm uncultured, and I don't understand art.
This is a gun that believes that form and function can't be compromised. Following an aesthetic form and making it work with some innovation. Ultimately a beautiful gun and hopefully this concept will fall down into the lower-priced market. I really like the hopeful rise of beautiful artistic guns.
I'm not surprised another Czech made this. It's not just a machine. It's art. I like how we are returning to make legendary weapons that may be kept in museums for the incredible quality we put into them.
the optic mount is pretty clever . surprising it hasnt been done on other competition guns. alot more aestetic than the giant pic rail or bolt on the the side frame attachments CZ and 2011s use to have a stationary optic .But 10k is crazy. You can buy a Laugo Alien, CZ Shadow 2 and a Staccato for that much !
its a super bad idea because its not rigid and will flex pretty much. Shockwaves travel threw the entire material, and just seeing the G forces with the mass of the optic, I know its constructed to weak to sustain longer periods of time. Its only aesthetically pleasing, not mechanically. Go check out slomos of AKs and Raceguns with side mounted rails. Even a junk of metal connected with 4 screws will flex. So, the least you need is an even bigger junk of metal that is connected on both sides of the receiver and not allow for any off angled momentum.
So it's basically nothing more than an overpriced version of the Shadow 2 with no innovations like the Alien. What a cheap attempt to rip off people, this company won't be around for long.
Haha! That statement might be more accurate than the gun. 😅 It's built on a platform, that isn't even near the top tier. Shadow 2 is a fair, accessible sports pistol. Nothing there. Very popular. But you don't get anywhere near the accuracy of a factory SIG P210, easily giving you the same spread at twice the distance. At least in my experience. The SIG is quite expensive, yes ... but at a third of the price of this Elysian, being among the most precise pieces of mechanical work ever made in the realm of handguns, I would rather have two of those and have them fitted specifically to me by the factory, or even reworked into taking 2011-mags, just to go overkill in customization. 😅🙈
The barrel is a very interesting concept. Having it ride a rail on the top of the slide basically. So when the slide goes back to battery, Theoreticly it should be smoother and faster than slapping into a free floating tube barrel, aligning it and then locking into battery.
Super imaginable... Its like star war innovation. He has applied his mind every where but that magnets are something wierd.... This platform should have come with a new caliber also... I can advise 3 more simple innovations in this design...
I am not sure about this design and how the magnets will will hold up in the long run. Like the pin for the trigger mechanism that might creep out after a long day at the shooting range or even worse at a competition. But I really appreciate that some designers have the courage to invest in "crazy" new ideas. Looking forward to a review of this gun from someone that has actually shot it!

Stunning! 😍
Gun Jesus said its art in the form of a gun.
HE HATH SPOKEN
Even Jesus can be wrong sometimes
@@rodiculous9464 no, he cannot, only a fariseee would have spoken like that
@@TheEdudoTo modify a game quote that can be applied to many things: while (insert person/thing/concept/etc) is formidable, it is not infallible".
I await Ian's mud test like he did for his Laugo Alien. He has his custom Elysien named with "Predator" engraved on it. He and InRange run an AVP Brutality.
As much as we're ragging on it for its price and aspiriations, the Elysien is still a far better piece of art than most stuff in art galleries.
The detritus which has accumulated in the back of my fridge looks better than most stuff at art galleries.
Agreed, I’ve always preferred a combination of both form and function, this is a beautiful gun and a call back to the classic guns as art pieces from master gunsmiths of days gone by.
I am going to need to see some drop test before I even think those magnets are going to hold together !?!?!?
No one who ever buys this is going to have it out of a safe long enough to think about accidentally dropping it. It will be pulled out once a year for a group of 10 cloaked Illuminati to share in a ritual sacrifice.
They will hold just fine.
@@1014p So you own one and have dropped it, in other words shut up !!
Drop a gun that cost ten grand? On what planet?
@@cousinzeke4888 that was kinda my point !! But I still don't trust those magnets .
They will revive John Wick just so he can wield this beauty
This dude has the golden ratio and magnets built into his Heavenly Handgun from Olympus™️. This is at least an epic quality loot from from the next Cyberpunk DLC.
I could see that red dot going out of alignment with the force of repeated firing requiring you to zero in the sight more often due to the design. To me it looks like it needs another arm facing forwards as well (still fixed on side of course) to make it more secure/stable. Not too sure about the magnets either. Love the concept of fixed red dots with free moving slide though and the gun looks pretty out there!
I was looking for this comment.
The second shot will go straight into the ground. Very strange construction.
Dropping the gun probably sounds like the Legos breaking apart
This guy heard "Magnets.... How do they work?" and thought "Challenge accepted"
The case has a typo: "Ment for Gods" prolly should be "Meant for Gods" or maybe "Mentos for Gods"
9mm, Mentos for Gods.
“It has a proprietary triangle barrel that’s super expensive and allows it to lock up like a fixed barrel”
“So why not just give it a fixed barrel?”
“Uh…… magnets?”
I really dig the aesthetics.
Wonder how all those magnets will hold up after a series of extended firing sessions. Then again, it's a designer piece for collectors amd clearly not meant to be used extensively.
"Ment for gods" -- imagine spending 10K on a pistol and getting a typo on the exclusive, machined box!
Perfect Dark Phoenix vibes
I was thinking magsec 4
Shit vibes.
It loads little orbs that melt into the receiver like a farsight
Okay, that is just the most beautiful design I've ever seen for a firearm.
Definitely gonna see it in the next _Blade Runner_ sequel.
James, I no longer need you and your steam powerd F150 in my life, I need this glorious piece instead !
Longest running inside joke in TFBTV history
I don't know this one.
My credit cards got de-magnitized when I left my wallet with my firearm... Damn
Waiting for STL of Elysian shell for CZ75 Shadow
Fun fact: The Czechs have the highest beer consumption per capita. Looks great after a couple of drinks, I think.
I'm uncultured, and I don't understand art.
First you make something, anything, then you boast about it being art and when people say it looks like crap you smugly tell them art is subjective. 😉
so do these magnets not lose strength when heatsoaked like other magnets? Not like guns get hot or anything...
well this one doesn't get hot
you'd have to be a moron to actually shoot this thing after all that money you spent
But will it work at the north and south poles?
Can somebody with a pacemaker use it or will disactivate their pacemaker?🤔
This is a gun that believes that form and function can't be compromised. Following an aesthetic form and making it work with some innovation. Ultimately a beautiful gun and hopefully this concept will fall down into the lower-priced market. I really like the hopeful rise of beautiful artistic guns.
Why would anyone want a gun designed by a guy who had never owned a gun before?
Because everyone has owned magnets
I'm not surprised another Czech made this.
It's not just a machine.
It's art.
I like how we are returning to make legendary weapons that may be kept in museums for the incredible quality we put into them.
Hell I would just buy for looks 🤩
I think its ugly as hell
I'm gonna need to see a mud test/burn down.
The big brain among us.
the optic mount is pretty clever . surprising it hasnt been done on other competition guns. alot more aestetic than the giant pic rail or bolt on the the side frame attachments CZ and 2011s use to have a stationary optic .But 10k is crazy.
The CZ Shadow 2 is now the Elysien we have at home.
So it's basically nothing more than an overpriced version of the Shadow 2 with no innovations like the Alien. What a cheap attempt to rip off people, this company won't be around for long.
sure but you have to admit it is pretty good looking and this probably is the first step of his company.
Haha! That statement might be more accurate than the gun. 😅
It's built on a platform, that isn't even near the top tier.
Ment For Gods
The barrel is a very interesting concept. Having it ride a rail on the top of the slide basically. So when the slide goes back to battery, Theoreticly it should be smoother and faster than slapping into a free floating tube barrel, aligning it and then locking into battery.
Art inspires industry often. Blending guns and art is not a new concept but enthusiastically welcomed
This guy studied the evolution of the Mercedes g wagon and did the same thing to a Cz 75.
*A pistol for the gods!*
This is super cool looking!
ngl that's the prettiest pistol i've ever seen in my life. great job
also, great video, James. it shows the guy is really proud of his design
Hate to point it out but 'ment' should be spelled 'meant' on the front of the box...
Watching James try to keep a straight face has been the best part of this interview
The red dot mount prevents racking the slide from the rear. Otherwise, it's a beautiful gun.
Beautiful. Refined. Sci-fi looking. Like an ancient Greek soldier's concealed carry.
Can't wait till we see this tested. Looks and sounds like it could be amazing.
10k for a pistol that does what every other handgun does. It looks cool though.
It's a lovely art piece, I'm not mad at it.
It’s the prettiest firearm I’ve seen in a long time I’m impressed and loving the sci-fi look👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾
Not for me, but I am happy to see designers thinking outside of the box.
Beautiful, love the meander in the grip. A trvly Indo-Evropean pistol, a tribute to the history of Greece.
Can't wait to see this on Forgotten Weapons in the year 2035
The engraving is nice but the overall machining is very smooth.....very cool
DANTE finally getting his pistols back
Super imaginable... Its like star war innovation. He has applied his mind every where but that magnets are something wierd....
This platform should have come with a new caliber also... I can advise 3 more simple innovations in this design...
“A fool and his money are quickly parted.”
He was so busy thinking if he could, he didn't thought if he should.
Elysien Fields, the bit of Hades where the heroes go.
Perfect, just perfect.....I spent a lot of time reading the comments, too much time. We have great minds and all came out to say something, very entertaining......... Love the comments..........Perfect!
Baah. I was expecting more innovations for this price tag.
OK kudos to Jan for openly acknowledging the CZ Shadow 2 straight away. I have to agree that his looks like a god-made update
Seems like a gun a movie villain would use, a rich one obviously
seems more like an art piece than a weapon but I'm always here for innovation in the gun design industry
Good for him for innovating. Pretty neat concept. The triangular barrel is interesting.
Feels like a shadow 3 concept car.
The Elysien wins the award for best AI generated pistol 😛
Not really, I've seen quite a few concept art showing something like this way before ai generator craze.
"I'm gonna keep this away from my VHS collection."
