I'm petulant & I'm having a frenzy. Big fan of this one. I found it in the wild back in the 1980s and started trembling as I got my hands on it. Zappa vinyl was so rare in my little corner of the world. No Punky's Whips. Mr Meadows went on my naughty list. I think I must've got my knowledge that it was an edited version from a Zappa fanzine called T'Mershi Duween. Got to say I loved the song when the CD was released. A definite 10 for me.

In the 40th anniversary live in new york extended box there is a fantastic long version of black napkins.
The box is worth checking out!
There is a TON of amazing extra stuff.

Fast becoming a fave channel with the variety of output. This was the first Zappa album i heard, borrowed it from the library in 1980. I was 14 back then so the lyrics of many of the songs were hilarious, and somewhat dangerous i suppose. Love it now after all this time. Yeah those lyrics are less funny but the music stands up. I'd give it a 8.5 or 9. Also enjoy watching Terry Bozzio sing and drum on the Baby Snakes version of Punky's Whips.
