It's evident in many ways that one is a traditional military operation against an opposing military while the other is basically the forced removal of a defenceless civilian population.

If a court says there is a plausible case for genocide, the only sensible step to take would be to end arms sales immediately. If the case is ultimately proved even 10 years down the line then by continuing to supply arms we would then be fully complicit.

Geneva Conventions Protocol I (ratified by Palestine), Article 51(7):
"The presence or movements of the civilian population or individual civilians shall not be used to render certain points or areas immune from military operations, in particular in attempts to shield military objectives from attacks or to shield, favour or impede military operations. (...)"

As for not allowing outside Journalists - yes it would be nice to have independent journalists, but they have been banned due to safety concerns, both theirs, and the soldiers escorting them. The ban was upheld by Israel’s Supreme Court on 8 January, but the court noted it can be lifted when security conditions improve.
