Wire color black should be used as neutral.

No, blue is for neutral.
This is the right colour code for Ghana 🇬🇭
Phase 1: Brown
Phase 2: Black
Phase 3: Grey
Neutral: blue
Earth: green & Yellow
Single phase:
Phase 1: Brown
Neutral: blue
Earth: Green & Yellow

Can your generator be connected automatically to turn on when light goes out?

So this type don't have that feature. And also if a gen set can be turned on automatically by an automatic transfer Switch the gen set must have auto start feature, and some gen set has that feature.
