Thanks for this - great guide. Just to check, before I proceed, you mentioned Zwift in your video. Can this be used to install Zwift directly to the Peloton tablet?
Ack.. I thought that installing before setting up was going to do it, but for each app from Open Pelo, it says it downloads, but doesn't install. "Installation error" for each app. Perhaps it's just my version of the peloton software. I can access the download folder of Peloton though as a drive on my computer. I wonder if there's a way to do it that way? Thanks for making this video though.
It really acts like USB debugging isn't checked, but it sounds like you've tried that. Any chance you have another computer to try? Perhaps something isn't setup correctly with the USB port on the computer?
@@netwalkergoogleyes I did check usb debugging, and click always allow. When I plug in the USB, windows does ask me how I want to treat the device. I'll have to see what the options are. But, Openpelo says it's connected. No other laptop. Just another android tablet. For the record, this is peloton model PLTN-RB1VQ and Android Version 11.
Update: I was able to just drag the apk files over to the peloton folder that showed up on windows and install them directly on the bike. Thanks for the video. Will check out the smart spin stuff!
I experienced something like this with my laptop. It was a pain in the butt to deal with and I'm not clear why. Same laptop gave me an absolute nightmare of a time trying to use ADB mode anywhere. Try this... i eventually got ADB working this way: Disconnect USB in the Peloton tablet's developer options, near the USB Debugging toggle, you'll see a "revoke USB debugging authorizations" option - click it. We want the tablet to forget your computer. Reboot both your computer and the Peloton tablet. Restarting the tablet might be unnecessary but its worth a try. Now try following the instructions in the video and see if that helps. Lastly, the cables you tried might also be an issue. I was shocked by how many of my micro USB cables would only transmit power and not data. Out of 10... maybe 3 of my cables support micro USB for data. Basically, if the cable shipped with something to be used for charging, it might not support data.

Zwift doesn’t have a version that installs on Android 5.0, so unfortunately not. You can however stream it to the Peloton using Moonlight

@@tjt4286 Awesome! glad you were able to get them loaded!
Says no devices connected when I open OpenPelo. Enabled usb debugging and tried different cables but can’t figure out what’s wrong, any ideas?

I should also add... It's worth checking to make sure the Windows firewall isn't blocking OpenPelo
