Queen wanted him right after American Idol, but he turned them down because he wanted to do his tour first. This is called courage and self-confidence. You should check out every song from that tour. The tour is a masterpiece.

The guy has one of the best voices l've ever heard in the past 50 yeard. I was brouģht up on 70s 80's rock and when sings that stuff he is untouchable
Orianti was his opening act for the stateside portion of the Glam Nation tour. (Adam is the first American Idol contestant to solo tour internationally after leaving the show.)
Monte Pittman was the guitarist & music director of Glam Nation (Madonna's longtime touring guitarist, also from heavy metal band Prong... Adam fronted a band with him before Idol.)
Brian May is recorded saying that after this highly successful tour they asked Adam to front Queen live.

@@MadishapesF I agree with one exception -- he sang SOAKED that night; it is my favorite and he is about as theatrical as I have ever seen him during any performance - the audience was mesmerized, as was I.
So glad you're reacting to Adam but now you REALLY need to see him sing "Believe" at The Kennedy Center Honors (honoring Cher). It's one of his most magical, moving moments.

This is one of my favorite Adam songs and especially love this performance. The energy and intensity he brings is as BP1 said, enthralling to watch. I literally can not look away

Part of what makes him successful is his confidence on stage and that he is comfortable in his own skin.
I recognize the guitarist you mentioned BP2. She is brilliant at her craft.
I liked it better than some others because it is more rock than pop.
He's brilliant in them all so far.
I get some Prince in there as well but the song and his voice remind me of someone else as well that of course I can't place at the moment.
Actually a bit of a blending of Prince and Freddie Mercury too.
One of my ALL time favourite live performances by Adam. Great pop rock song written by Ryan Tedder of One Republic fame. Was privileged enough to experience this tour in person in Paris. He blew the roof off! Guitarist on the tour is Monty Python who at he time played for Madonna. He and Adam were part of a band The Citizen Vein before Adam went on AI.
I will never understand why this wasn’t topping all the charts at the time

My favorite solo Lambert song. He adds a lot of vocal gymnastics to this live version, but the studio version was still very much a rocker, especially with Orianthi's blazing solo. Great version and good reaction.
This is one year after appearing on Season 8 of American Idol in 2009.
My favorite Adam tour so far! And my favorite song too! ❤ This tour was like 113 dates in a span of 6 months, right after idol.

@@MadishapesF They are many YT vids before. Unfortunately, some of the accounts was deleted by YT just last year. Even the biggest Adam fan account which TALC. Imagine having recorded most perf of AL since 2009. All original videos too.

This was from Adam’s first tour (worldwide too!) after Idol, called the Glam Nation Tour. His guitarist, Monty Pitman, was Madonna’s guitarist too. It was dramatic for sure. Hard to describe his talent sometimes. He is really one of a kind, always was and still is! Thanks guys! Keep them coming. Quite a catalogue.

Madi nailed the song suggestion! "Sleepwalker" and "Runnin" are two of my favorite Adam songs. I even recommend Runnin' for you guys to check. I don't remember if he's already sung it full at a show, but you can listen to the studio version. Even though it's not a live version, I get goosebumps every time I listen to it.
He got noticed when singing whole lotta love on American idol by Spike from Queen.

The live version of Sleepwalker is my FAAAAAVORITE!!! 🙌 🙌 🙌 There are fan videos out there from other performances during the Glam Nation Tour where he pushes his voice even more than in this one. His talent is unreal.
ADAM is phenomenal artist and huge personality.There are no words to describe how talented and progressive this human! Just goosebumps!
If you're really interested in the timeline of how and why Adam Lambert joined Queen, there is a terrific documentary called "The Show Must Go On: The Queen and Adam Lambert Story", which details everything about what happened with Brian May and Roger Taylor after Freddie Mercury died, how they kept Queen alive and eventually found Adam Lambert. It is a joyful celebration of their music and talent, and a beautiful story of how all these artists came together to captivate the world once more. Lots of snippets from their performances, interviews, and it is just a great documentary. Probably a bit too long for you to react on this channel (2hs or so), but maybe you'd want to watch it for yourself anyway.

Recently found you guys and like what you have to say about Adam Lambert. Check out "Who Wants to Live Forever" Isle of Wight 2016. He is incredible.
This song is one of 14 songs on his album For Your Entertainment and there is not one song on this album that I don’t love. That is so unique and Pink is the only other artist where that has happened to me. You might absolutely love one or more songs on an album but not like others. I think Adam could sing anything and make it epic. I also think that not being “the right kind of gay” has kept him from super stardom. Thank goodness Queen does not have those hang ups so we were gifted two iterations of this incredible group and both are extraordinary.

Glam Rock. Queen was on American Idol final the year he was on and he got to sing with them. They kept in touch with Adam after that, and when they performed at the EMA’s they invited him to go over and sing with them. The rest is history. He is putting out a new album in July of club tunes.
You should check out his performance of West coast live in American Idol.

I saw Adam perform this at the Tivoli Theatre Brisbane Australia in 2010. The Tiv is such an intimate venue (maybe 1500 standing room only) that in my position I could almost reach out and touch him. Never again will I get the chance to see him so close up and personal!

Big Fan of AL since American ldol (before which he’d been performing and singing in clubs, on a cruise ship, and in musicals since the age of 10). Wrote & co-wrote many of his own early songs. Saw him live singing the songs from his last album, ‘High Drama’, plus his hilarious Muffin Man rendition of Believe at The Royal Albert Hall last June, absolutely phenomenal. Never any auto tune or digital enhancement required for AL’s vocals. I❤MK

If you want to hear Adam Lambert's voice in all its purity, listen to him at age 22 singing Come to Me, Bend to Me from Brigadoon. I would love to hear him cover some Patti LaBelle (Teach Me Tonight) or Mammas and Poppas (California Dreaming), or even one of Patsy Cline's wonderful ballads like Crazy or I Fall to Pieces, and make them his own. He could sing the phone book and I'd be mesmerized.

Can't watch any more of this what's buddy on the right constantly comparing Prince and Adams clothing. I am a huge pre 2000 Prince fan as well as Adam fan from the very beginning. Never crossed my mind that they had anything in common.
