Are you able to do a demo of removing the panniers? Do they require a rack system? I'm looking at buying the Rally but I don't like the look of the rack system..
The panniers are really easy to remove. The side panniers just slot in,
If your buying a rally look at the soft luggage if your travelling solo.
I have the V4S Multi too, i just ordered the plastic top box like the one you mentioned in the video. The box comes with a plate of its own, does that not fit the V4S mount? i see you bought from iconic and GIVI, any reason ? the original's dont fit?
That’s correct, the plate wouldn’t fit. But at the start of 2021 I had no other option, so I’m not sure if there is any other method of fixings out there. The plate I used from iconic works fine with the box from my old 950 multi.
SW Motech do a plate for the Multi V4 I may buy one to mount my Ducati top box as the Ducati/Givi plate is just plastic and not a nice looker...... only advantage is it has a floating mount allowing the top box a bit of movement...
Theirs a bit more choice now with the plates now, Sometimes it’s a difficult decision especially when you want to see it for yourself and there’s not many out on the streets to look at.

I was investigating adding a bigger GIVI top box to my Multistrada GT but I think the mount is different for the GIVI purchased top boxes.
The one on this is universal for the givi monokey system.
Would you happen to know if there’s a bracket for the V2? Or is it the same?

How is plate holding up? The Ducati top box Mount has brace that attaches to the plate and to the bike frame. Do notice any movement?
It’s been fine, I’ve had no issues or movement in it.
Cool bike! How comfy was the pillion using the top box back rest on the old 950? Im trying to justify the cost.. also.. is the rack easy to mount on and off? :)

Hi Victor, my pillion seems very happy with the comfort. The cost of the top boxe does come at a premium, as for the mount it’s just 4 bolts holding it on, I’ve lock tighted the thread just for added safety but still very easy to fit. I do believe you can now but the genuine Ducati plates for the monokey boxes.

That’s what mine is, have you got the monokey top box? I’m sure there’s probably more options now.
@@thatbikersimon Yeah, I got the original Ducati top box, because when I got the bike, nobody was making plates for mounting Givi cases on the 950. Plenty of options for the 1200 and 1260s. Not so much for the 950 in 2019. I like the factory Ducati boxes since they are more aerodynamic, but they are so overpriced.. just like anything Ducati males 😆
Hi I just bought my first Ducati Multistrada V4S from Leeds Ducati, after owning a couple of R1200GS Adventures I fancied a change.
As I have only ridden a few miles from the dealer to my lock up I am itching to get on her and start getting some miles in.
I work away and don’t ride in winter so can’t wait till spring.
I opted for the livery colour spoked and back box.
I received an email about an imminent software update due out in Feb so haven’t synced my phone to bike.
Have you had any issues with the infotainment or any other general issues I need to keep an eye out for ?
Hi keet, congratulations and welcome to the club. A big decision making that change but I think you’ll enjoy it. I’m hoping to get some winter rides in myself providing there is no salt on the roads. I also received that email and I’m glad there making a few changes, the heated grips will just run off the one button as well, which was needed. I’m just editing my next video which you might be interested in regarding the navigation (friday 4pm) . Any issues I do find il be sure to share them. Enjoy the bike and ride safe.
