Amazing. Just remember that you need still have on the developer mode on TV. When you disablet it, Kodi dissapeer and you need it do all again...
LG limits the ability to use developer mode to a 1000-hour session, which can be manually extended before it expires, otherwise all installed “development” applications will be deleted. you will see how long your session will last. There is also a button to reset this timer to a new 1000 hours (Extend Session Time) 3:24 counter

If i open kodi on my laptop and then turn on my LG WebOS TV and press the gear button on the magic remote control it finds the Media server kodi (or the name you gave kodi) if you click that you also have a full list of all movies/photos ready to play and see whats on your sdd you will not see any info about the movie but the movie picture is fully there it also plays the srt files so subtitles are included . So no need to install this app and devs and timers . i also set kodi to minimalize so i can work on my laptop also wile another watch a movie ,i also have a google tv and there you can add the kodi app without all of this .just try it on my LG is one from 2022 and it works perfect on this one .. settings in kodi i use are UPnp/DLNA on the right set the 4 slides to ON ( so no need to do it the hard way )
