Thanks for the comment! Yeah the official single mix is really weird - it starts with the album mix on one side (piano, guitars, bass, drums) and the single overdubs on the other side (celeste, bells) before transitioning to a muddy semi-mono mess. I was definitely happy to give it a refresh. Glad you enjoyed it!
@@gwaunch1967 You can blame Brian for that. So the Single Mix is a 3-Track. Track 1-Basic Track, Track 2-Extra Instruments and Track 3 is Mike's Triple Vocal. They actually recorded the Extra Instruments while Mike was doing his vocal sweetening.
@@danerd8978 Brian couldn't hear stereo completely because he is deaf in one ear, so he had Chuck Britz mix the 1960's songs into stereo on the albums, except for those that Brian wanted in mono (such as "The Beach Boys Today", "Summer Days And Summer Nights", "Pet Sounds" "Smiley Smile", and "Wild Honey", which were all mixed into Duophonic stereo in the 1960's. ) In the 1990's, David Leaf was recruited to remix those old mono songs into stereo on the videos you find on UA-cam today. I'm sure David Leaf remixed this one into stereo since Brian still can't hear in stereo.
One of the best Christmas Songs ever 🎄
I’ve always loved it, even before I got into The Beach Boys. It’s so catchy and has such a great sound. Glad you enjoyed!
Sounds Awesome.
Truly one of the best!
This was certainly due a new mix, glad all the overdubs were included too. Another Gwaunch W 🙌

Great job, buddy. Nobody could have done it better! 👏
Thanks man! I'm really pleased with how it came out, and your help along the way was a huge factor in that. Glad you like it!
That's a lot of piano.
Too much piano, not enough everything else
