HEY DUMBS**T THE PIN AND THE SHAFT ARE ON THE DOWN ROD IN THE BOX NOT ON THE MOTOR AND YOU DONT NEED TO PUT THE WIRE CAPS ON THE WIRES WHEN THE FAN IS NOT ON THE BRACKET AND THERES SUPPOSED TO BE A COPPER WIRE
I bought the same fan a few months ago and it has been working great, but now I have a problem with it I'd like to ask you about. The fan is installed in my bedroom and I rarely turn the light on, and I only turn the fan on when I go to bed and then turn it off when I get up in the morning. Today, I came home and somehow the light (but not the fan) had come on by itself. I used the remote to turn the light off, however an hour or two later the light (but not the fan) came back on all by itself. I'm wondering if you've had this problem or have any idea what may be causing this and any thoughts on how to fix it. Thanks in advance for your reply.
