OMG, finally, thank you man for a real walk-through and not a bunch of all over the place chatter. You talk a little fast but you give step-by-step instructions thank you so much.
Dope video, good breakdown on how to set the scale and explaining progressions. I kinda already knew about progressions but now I can see it and believe I can use it with my AtomSQ Thanks
I'm so glad I found your channel - you make using the SQ a breeze and your tutorials are very well presented - concise, clear and crisp! Just one thing though - could you pan your camera slightly to get rid of the wobbly monitor edge on the left of the shot (OCD here!)
I didn't know that secret. Thanks for revealing it. Am happy I bought the SQ. I will now play chords/melodies super easily. Please upload more hidden secrets videos on the SQ.
What's funny today I was talking about how the universe operates if you dont put the ideas you catch they go back out for others to catch. And bam here's another one. I've been doing the chord progression stuff since August.
I can’t get to where I can change the chord settings! I’ve tried and tried. When it first turns on I can see that feature but, when I use it with Presonus, I can never get to where I can change Am to Gm or whatever I want!
Hadn't really looked into the SQ but this is ridiculously helpful. Does the SQ replace the ATOM? I mainly just use the ATOM to control my vocal recordings haha, but I can see this being as good as my Axiom keyboard. Thanks for the video Ivan!
I'm thinking of buying this but I'm just wondering can I lock keys to lets say ample guitar so maybe look a few keys for the keys witches I want and then use the rest for playing purposes?
Hi Ivan ... thanks for a very helpful video. At the 50 second mark you said that the chord mode on the SQ is not super advanced. Are you comparing it to something like Scaler or are there hardware controllers with more advanced chord modes? Thanks.
Hey Bill. No I said the chord HACK I demonstrated in this video wasn’t super advanced, meaning that it’s not super intricate but it is super useful nonetheless. The SQ’s scale modes are fantastic!
How would you play a Gm7 chord, a diminished, or a 13th chord with this or is this not possible? Say I wanted to do a, for example, a Cmaj7, and Em7, a D flat maj7 to a C9th chord. Can I do that? Thanks.
Set the pads to scale only and pick your scale, so in your case Gm. Then you press pads 1, 3, 5, and 7 to get the Gm7 chord. If you want a 9th add the 9th pad etc. As long as you’re in scale only the shape will always be press one skip one.
This isn't a competition for me, so I would say not really. I recently got the unit, and I am really enjoying it, so I'm just sharing what I'm learning. If some people already knew about it, that's great, but from what I'm seeing, there are still plenty who don't.
Oh no don’t apologize, I appreciate the conversation and I definitely didn’t intend to come off wrong in any way. I’m just trying to make music and share what I’m learning with others :)
Thanks bro you help me out frfr love you channel I just bought your templates and toolbar can’t wait to master my art of beat making thanks again!! - 9Strategy 716

Hey, thanks for another great tutorial. This feature was one of the main reasons for me to buy the Atom SQ
Right! It’s probably my favorite feature to be honest!

But then you’d see my messy background! 😆🤣.
Welcome aboard, I’m really glad you’re enjoying the channel and thank you for the feedback, I got you lol.
This is exactly why I bought the ATOM SQ...need to learn how to play chords and melodies...great tutorial..thanks
Take me home smiling very cool your helping so many kids get the gift of music! Smiling!
I didn't know that secret. Thanks for revealing it. Am happy I bought the SQ. I will now play chords/melodies super easily. Please upload more hidden secrets videos on the SQ.
You got it. Thanks for tuning in!
first day with my SQ today just tried the exercise you displayed . I use to use my MPK 249 before
Bless you for these videos, man.
Thanks for the video! Is there a way to play single pad chords on the SQ, either with Chorder or some other way? Thanks
I have the Atom SQ, but haven't used it that much. Now that I see an easy way to use it, I will use it. Thanks again.
Nice! It’s definitely a handy unit. Thanks for watching, Jerome!
I have an atom sq and I knew it could do the scale only mode but I haven't been using it. I've already changed it and I'm about to create. thanks
tres bonne video , merci !
Good stuff!!! I recently purchased an AtomSQ. Thank you!!
Nice! Enjoy it!
Great explanation... much appreciated Ivan!
My pleasure!
Awesome video. Encouraging me to get out of budget. lol.
I program chord progressions with macros. And melodies with a MIDI keyboard.
Great video!!
Glad you enjoyed it!

I have a SQ an never did this kind of thing. Very good video.
I have a presonus keyboard. Should I get the sq, or can I do same thing on keyboard? Thanks
I can’t get to where I can change the chord settings! I’ve tried and tried. When it first turns on I can see that feature but, when I use it with Presonus, I can never get to where I can change Am to Gm or whatever I want!
Great video thank you! Hey, is there a way to FF/REW with this? I can't seem to figure out how to do that!
Does it have a chord pad mode? Playing chords using 1 pad

Where is minor on the atom sq? Or is natural minor and harmonic minor the same thing?
does it send midi to other daws like reason? That chord progression feature is nice.
I'm thinking of buying this but I'm just wondering can I lock keys to lets say ample guitar so maybe look a few keys for the keys witches I want and then use the rest for playing purposes?
Good 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hi Ivan, can you import and play midi files with this Atom SQ, like a sequencer?
Do you find yourself having to press the pads on the sq extra hard?

@@ImIvanCalderon Thanks for that information. I just ordered my SQ.
Enjoy!
@02:20 what happens when the wrong not is the right note ?

Exactly for this reason, I got the SQ. 😁
It' so useful 💪🏽
Thanks for your good content, Ivan. I love your videos
@@skorone2333 Thanks a lot, I really appreciate you taking the time to watch! 🙏🏽
So there’s no minor scale ?
All the common scales, including minor scales, are in the SQ. You choose the key, scale and keyboard layout. Very handy!
💯💯💯💯💯
Atom sq
I love you Ivan...but your a little late with the Atom SQ no?

@@ImIvanCalderon ok. Sorry
It is a nice piece of equipment tho.. way under rated.
