Y'all are talking about Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Arabic and I'm sitting on a couple courses of French and Latin. I would love to learn Japanese and move to Japan but I have literally no reason other than it looks nice.

@16:17- Technically we do, just in D.C. because I believe the Japanese govt gifted our govt with some Sakura trees as a form of good will . . . . I think. I just know there's Sakura Trees in D.C. lol.
Why is everyone losing their shit over the Sakura blossoms? Don't you have any cherry trees where you live? It's hard to believe, because they're everywhere here in Germany. Not entire parks full of them like in Japan, but still pretty common.
Not many cherry trees where I live in the US.
@@baddicusauraelius1728 I guess it's a matter what climate zone your part of the US is in. Lots of different terrains, too. Sometimes it just escapes from my mind that your country literally reaches from one coast of the continent to the other. That can be a little hard to imagine for somebody from a country that is smaller than some of your states.
@@skyknight0408 yeah there's tons of different regions and climates here in the US. I'm smack dab in the middle so we get a little bit of everything. The closest thing we have to cherry trees here are redwood trees, which have purple blossoms that turn pink as spring goes on.
Japan is an amazing place tho fr. Peaceful place. Nothing like the anime’s everything is in order and neatness. Perfect place for someone to go with ocd
Yeah but the problem is there are so many rules at the follow and not to mention the near-constant state of a bit of anxiety with hurricanes and earthquakes and tsunamis
@@mikechicago6200 Japan has the most advanced early warning system. They test their sirens every day at 5pm but instead of blaring sirens they play awesome chimes that echo through the country. Trust me you need to hear these things it’s pretty relaxing. Look up Japan 5pm chime
@@mikechicago6200 rule following is easy when your in Japan. The rules are there to maintain order and peace. You see they teach everyone to be nice and respectful kinda like a culture thing.
The amount of cleanness the country has is unbelievable they have a bidet in every toilet lol. Exactly like the Simpson’s scene toilet without the camera 📸
No offense but the polar opposite of Chicago. Chicago still is nice tho, 100% better than NYC. But compared to Japan? Not even close
Vietnamese is easier for English speakers to learn than Corpulent Han and Southwest Asian dialects. Because Vietnamese uses Latin Characters.
Indonesian uses Latin characters as well.
More tones though. Not to mention implosives.
I know English, and Polish, and learning English(brain fart meant Spanish) but would love to learn 6 more like; French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Russian.
Honestly though I live in Hawaii but im also japanese it's sounds weird but really anytime I just go to a small store or a place for Japanese tourists I somehow feel at home like really I've been missing this my whole life I'll get there one day

I imagine they get a lot of weird tourists there but also hasn't most of Japan been a little iffy of foreigners for awhile?
@@DisorientedWanderer I remember on Trash Taste Joey mentioned a weird interaction with the police when he got off a transport, kept asking to see his pockets and his bags and then he said he was half Japanese they stopped and walked away

In my Teenager time i would have given everything to move to Japan!
Now id only go there for vacation. Becouse i dont like crowded places, so Tokyo is hell for me. Some of their rules and Social concepts are weird to me and i dont think i could get used to this. I am honest and sarcastic and appearently that makes me a Punk in Japan 🤷♀️
I'm pretty much the same. Big crowded cities I can only stand for as long as a shopping trip on the weekend. But l've heard living in the countryside is actually really nice over there. Not sure how all the old people in one of the small villages would react to somebody being a "Punk" though.😉
Japan is an awesome place to visit, but might not be the nicest to live in depending on what you do for a living.
If you're an influencer or otherwise self-employed free lance artist, programmer, etc. it's awesome bc you have zero contact with the Japanese corporate culture.
If you work for a large company, especially as an office worker, it's an awful place to live, evident by the absurdly high rate of suicides...
Same goes for a lot of Asian countries like Korea, Taiwan, etc. but Japan might be the worst offender.
It's also marginally better than the US when it comes to things like paid vacation, maternity leave, etc.
It's a fascinating country, but there are better places to live- Germany isn't as exotic, but it's a much nicer place to work and live in, even for minimum wage workers.
I don’t want to live there because the tax system is far to demanding for me to understand
