Eastex Freeway shut down due to deadly wrong-way crash heading north near Kingwood Drive

A deadly wrong-way crash has the Eastex Freeway shut down in Montgomery County Friday morning, according to the Houston Police Department.

Hey everyone, my uncle was the one that passed away. It was shortly before 2 am, the wrong way driver died on impact. My uncle was unconscious with a broken leg and shoulder as well as internal bleeding. It was a head on collision. He brought me a ps3 and used to take me all the time to game stop. Had no problems with anybody. He was a really good man, used to work 7 days a week. This happened right outside of the hospital on Kingwood and 59. One of the nurses in the top floor saw the crash and called the police. The wrong way driver is getting tested for any substance found in their system.
