Moved to Scotland from the USA 25 years ago and finished raising my family here and now retired. I've never been back to the USA and have no wish to see it. So many guns over there, so much crime, so much of a materialistic merry-go-round. I love the UK and Scotland in particular. Have been a British citizen since the third year and proud of that. The education for my kids was far better than in the States. I just feel so lucky to have had this opportunity.

Glad to hear you’re enjoying our beautiful country. Yes it must have been a big cultural shock coming from a big city like Atlanta. I think the population there is on a par with our capital, Edinburgh, it’s definitely a much slower pace of life here. A S.A.D light may help with our winters but you do get used to them. I hope you and your husband have many happy years here 😁

We just moved to Scotland this year, living in Edinburgh. It’s been a rough go for sure for us so far, but it takes awhile to actually adjust.
