Tabletop Orchestral - Mechanus, The Great Modron March / RPG Music / DnD Music / Tabletop Ambience

- The perpetual clicking of gears in perfect rhythm with the country sized cogs of Mechanus was nerve wracking to say the least. As a Planeswalker I have been to many a place but none as rigid and disciplined as the home of the lawful Modrons. The Great Modron Parade makes its way around the Great Ring once every 289 years, and when it does, every berk around knows to steer clear.

Calculated . Rhythmic . In perfect order .
As all things should be.
*Based & Redpilled*
as Primus his wíl

Just used this to narrate the gigantic march of hundreds of modrones, while describing the monstrous hierarchies.. It was amazing. The music has such a strong rythm that gave us both hype and terror brought to sublime.
Amazing track
That's sick! Exactly what I was hoping to evoke. Should be another upload coming fairly soon ;)
I still wait for the day when an arrogant native of Sigil gets to taste first hand the drama of the spell jammers and realize the prime material plane is not to be looked down upon!
Me: Hold up. Modron's got the right of way. Let em cross us.
Them: Perfect! How long will this take?
Me: well, they are efficient, but they ain't hourly. Best get out a deck of cards.
Them: I've got some dice...
Me: Erh, I wouldn't.
Cylic modrom march is very hard to defeat
"WHY DO MY SIX SIDERS KEEP COMING UP 3?"
"... Because it's orderly."
Oh this is perfect. And if you don't know the lore it'd make no sense.
Absolute perfection.
Fitter perfected
More productive
Comfortable
Not glitching too much
Regular maintenance protocols at the gymnasium (3 days a week)
Getting on better with your associate Tridrone employees
At ease
Eating well (no more fire magic-cooked dinners and saturated fats)
A patient, better soldier
A safer kingdom (Monodrone smiling in back of the platoon)
Sleeping well (no REM)
No paranoia
Careful to all beings (never washing driders down the plughole)
Keep in contact with old modrons (enjoy a lubrification now and then)
Will frequently check gears at (moral) repair station (hole in the wall)
Favours for favours
Loyal but not fond
Charity standing orders
On Sundays ringed gear repairment
(No killing manes or striking dwarves with a spear)
Ocular wash (also on Sundays)
No longer afraid of the dark or midday shadows
Nothing so ridiculously prototypical and desperate
Nothing so conceptual
At a better pace
Faster and more calculated
No chance of escape
Now self-assigned
Concerned (but powerless)
An empowered and informed member of society (pragmatism is idealism)
Will not glitch in public
Less chance of corruptions
Tyres that grip in the wet (shot of Monodrone strapped in back seat)
A good memory
Still enjoys a well carved rapier
Still flies with turbulence
No longer empty and frantic
Like a tabaxi
Tied to a halberd
That's driven into
Icewind Dale shit (the ability to laugh at weakness)
Calm
Fitter, healthier and more productive
A Nalfeshnee
In a cage
On goodberries
As someone who loves steampunk & clockwork aesthetics, mechanus is just perfect to me.
"Who denies death?" will forever be the scariest thing my players hear accompanied by this music.
I love the Clockwork March
Man I would love a ten hour version of this for a campaign I've been running!
In my campaign, the party has done some reality tomfoolery and messing with the timeline. My BBEG is a former allied time wizard who has had enough of them. In my last session, I had him summon an army of Modron to try and impede the party's passage while they were traveling...
I described the sounds of a bunch of tiny feet marching alongside them in the forest, and started playing this song over our discord music bot and man... You *made* this session. It sold the theme so perfectly. I wanted to drop by and say thanks!
I'm preparing a session in a maddening factory managed by rogue modrons, which keeps expanding recursively on itself defying all logic of space. This is perfect for the mood!
I've added a rule for Mechanus in which initiative is never rolled; instead, those closest to the Clock Tower in North go first, and combat progresses north to south. Creatures that are an equal distance away are sorted west to east
Monodrons, "March as directed, march as directed."
Duodrons, "Watch where we're going, direct Monodrons where to march."
(so what further commands exist up the chain of command?)
Sounds like a Disney Fantasia nightmare...
Described perfectly.
with mechanus being the one area i absolutely love in dnd this actually brought me to tears i love this and i love you thank you
Amazing. Modrons and Mechanus in general are my favourite part of dnd, and I feel you've captured the essence of it perfectly
Thank you! Stay tuned for Acheron and then after that there’ll be a poll to decide the next set of planes I’ll tackle.
@@kumashovcomposer2858 Shall do. Keep up the stellar work.
*cause some trouble in Mechanus*
*suddenly hear on the loudspeakers "ACTIVATE KILL MODE*
The What?
When all twenty four monodrones nearest to perpetrator are instantly upgraded into special grade, CR 6 Eliminodrons?
Ungracefully lands after falling from a distance..... "this still isn't the library"
This is probably my favorite one you’ve done! It’s so perfect for the modron March imagery and those weird voice like sounds can almost take as the modron language
Thanks again! I really felt like Mechanus had a very specific aesthetic and wanted to try and encapsulate that terrifying mechanical lack of feeling especially towards the end - also taking into account that whole idea of the great Modron parade that happens every so often in planescape.
As the musical version of a clockwork alarm powered by magic formed out of perfect order, this is exactly what a legion of Modrons on a march would, nay, SHOULD, sound like. I can't wait to hear your auditory idea of what the rest of the Outer Planes you haven't already covered would sound like. All DMs who incorporate planar travel should at the very least listen to your work, if not outright work it into their campaigns.
Thank you so much for the kind words - I really appreciate it. I've started working on the next plane as recent as last night actually, so seeing some new comments and support has made a significant impact on that. The next one should be pandemonium and I'll post another straw-poll with the latest upload to select which will come next!
Hey finally youtube recomending good stuff
Just came across your page today. This great and so well done, I can’t wait to use it in a future campaign!. I came to UA-cam searching for a Mechanus soundtrack and this is amazing, thank you!
Thanks so much! I just finished Acheron today and should have it uploaded pretty soon so hopefully you'll enjoy that too.
Funny enough is, that i am planning using modrons and Mechanus world into my campaigns, so this can really help out as inspiration for writing
I am in love with this! I’d definitely love to see an extended version!
Oh this is perfect!
This is amazing.
That's perfect
This is brilliant , would you ever do a 1 hour version?
I absolutely should! Maybe I'll cook together an extended version with a few new sections and loop it together to make it more sustainable.
Nicholas Kumashov it would be absolutely be worth it dude, this really captures the Mechanus vibe that it would seem no one else could do!
thanks for the music, now i have a post main mission campain
Thanks heaps! I just started Pandemonium last night so keep an eye out for that.
Excellent!
This has inspired me. X3
Like clockwork
Mike Wizowski! Sorry. I had to.
The Slaadi don't like this one
Gives me some Disney vibes!
