This is a gem, and I can't understand how I've not seen this before. Truly the man was a one off, and definitely inspired me to cook. He lived his life his way, and although I'm sure he was a pain in the ass sometimes, he was the real deal.

Only things that I found worked are the following.
1 - Pre-pissup: Make 2 pint glasses of water and put them beside your bed. One for when you get in and one for the morning. You won't piss the bed because your most likely dehydrated anyway.
2 - Eat a carb rich meal before you go out drinking. Rice, Pasta and Potatoes are great as well as some meat. Basically anything that's hard to digest. DON'T eat fruit before you go on the piss. The alcohol can interact with the sugars in the fruit and create more alcohol in the digestive system.
3 - Have a glass of water a couple of times throughout the night.
4 - Sit down when you drink. If your standing up you tend to be holding your drink more and as such drinking it more.
5 -Post-pissup: A cup of tea when you get home or some warm milk can ease the stomach in my experience. Don't forget to have that pint of water next to your bed before you go to sleep. You can also take an Ibruphen before going to bed if you want.
6 - Morning After: Stay in bed as long as you can and even try to fall back asleep.
_(Don't be daft and go on a pissup if you have work the next day. That's just retarded and frankly insane. Don't go driving in the morning either. A friend of mine got pulled Boxing Day and was banned for being over the limit.)_
Have that second pint of water and another Ibruphen or pain killer. When you get up brush your teeth and have a shower.
That's it really. Fact is if you've got a hangover there isn't much you can do about it, but having a meal before you go out and drinking water throughout the night are the most important things because they can slow down the absorption of alcohol, and the stomach can also do some of the work due to the increased enzymatic activity as your digesting the food. Just be sensible.

Floyd was not only a comic genius - a lot of comedy here reminds me of Chris Morris (but well before his time), he was also well ahead of his time making SE Asian food in that era was amazing - and he did his best to make the paucity of ingredients in Britain work, like substituting bok choy with lettuce. I think people these days forget he was the first 'TV Cook'. He pioneered it, and no one has since eclipsed him.

You couldn’t get me within a mile of any seafood if I’m hungover. Nausea is always the worst of it.
My self care starts before I go to bed. I eat a monster sub and in the middle of it I sneak some aspirin. Then I have a sports drinks.
For the morning I need a Mountain Dew an old dinner roll or two (fed to myself a pinch at a time) another Mountain Dew, and a doober, some aspirin and back to bed for a few hours then wake up and have a doober and a big dinner with some beers and get back in it

frank datank I just drink good alcohol. I also come from moonshine country, we know how to keep the heads out of the hearts. Good liquor will at most give you a headache in the morning.

What's the other Stranglers song used on Floyd's programme? It's not Waltz in Black or Peaches. He was driving around and it was playing in the background. Its an instrumental and it kind of sounds like a weird circus theme, but the big bass drum gives it an epic sound? Please help.

Great film with Floyd the star as usual but David Davis was outstanding too. Don't understand how people can not like him.
