Joshua only fought in December so the fight taking a little bit of time benefits him more than it does Fury who’s been out the ring 14 months. Also the WBO stopped Joshua having to fight Usyk to make this fight. So if the money isn’t there for Fury vs Joshua. Joshua will be able to have a voluntary fight. So it’s win win for Joshua all around. If it’s made he gets the huge payday plus he’s not going to get Fury this inactive again. If it doesn’t happen then he’s got out of is high risk low reward fight against Usyk.
Mean while Fury has been kept out the ring waiting for Wilder. Once wilder let the contract expire. Fury was told he could have a tune up in December against Kabayel and then ESPN put a stop to it. Now he’s been close to 5 months and still looks no where closer to getting a fight date.
Whether your a Joshua or Fury fan aside. Any unbiased person can understand while Fury is frustrated. Forget all the macho talk from Fury. This fight taking so long only helps Joshua.
Fury signed the deal but he can’t put his career on hold and wait forever. If the moneys not there. The promotors should be honest and just push the fight back too next year.

Condolences to John's mum and the rest of the Fury family. I think his emotions are raw at the moment. What he says about England deserving the fight is dead on. I'd love to buy a ticket and watch that fight live in the UK, but in the current climate, if they wait the fight might never happen. Best case scenario, the first fight is in the middle east, things relax over here and the second or third fight gets held here on a live gate.

What nobody gets on here is actually how clever John Fury is. He purposefully keeps putting out negativity about the fight to rub up Eddie Hearn the wrong way. Eddie Hearn now wants to prove a point and do everything possible to make the fight happen, to shut John up and make himself look like the man. John will have the last laugh, gets his son £250m and watches him jab Anthony Joshuas head off for a whole 12 rounds.
