Have a wonderful vacation! I really enjoy your podcast. I love it when you show processing the wool, carting, spinning and explain what you are doing and why. The different books on your shelf. I feel very fortunate that I found you. Please keep doing what you are doing.

The 2 yarns (red and white) would be beautiful plied together. I’m not a fan of reds and whites together normally (yet I buy them 😂), but those two being a little lofty looking would be stunning knitting up together in a flat piece. 😍. Also you are my favorite UA-camr for spinning and knitting. It’s like you’re a teacher in a casual class and it makes me feel so warm and comfortable watching. Thank you for what you do. ❤

Your red handspun is MAGNIFICENT! Very beautifully done! I'm so glad you were able to get more fibre - it would have been awful not to have enough. Love your MKAL swatch! Looking forward to your progress on that. Have an excellent holiday!

Dear Lisa, thanks for your update. Autumn mice, so cute, I think I'm going to purchase this book! After your last video, I decided to participate in mkal for the first time. My choice fell to different shades of green.
Wish you a wonderful vacation and see you soon. 💚🐑Gabi

That's exactly what I did. I watched that episode of Fruity Knitting and immediately purchased the book. I've never owned a knitting book in my life nor knit colorwork socks and now I'm getting ready to do my 3rd pattern, lol

Have a wonderful vacation! You’re so witty- making a cake and then making cakes of yarn. That really made me smile. And your yarn looks amazing!
Christopher’s podcast is so fun and I love his funny editing. I’ve been wanting to make the cake too and hope it taste just as gluten-free 🤞💚🧶💚

Ooh the color of your cardigan project is gorgeous. Very interesting learning about grift which is a term I have never heard of. And that cake looks so yummy I must try it. I'm so glad you're posting videos on UA-cam again as I'm always learning something and enjoy the content and your presentation so much. Enjoy your vacation!

Maybe one of those lovely sock patterns for next year's spin for socks? 🥰 Have a wonderful vacation Lisa! (Also, I think Katie from the Green Bean Podcast has an adorable mushroom sock pattern - the Fairy Ring socks I think they're called)

Have a great trip!! Loved seeing you get excited about Charlotte Stone’s book. I have the grape socks on the needles currently - my partner and I have an old running joke that “grape minds think alike,” so I had to.

Hello Lisa, and Peaches. That shade of red is beautiful. You make very nice yarn. Can hardly wait to see your sweater once you begin it. I am onto a new fixation. I'm not sure how it started, but I am completely mesmerized on knitting with unspun roving. It knits up into a soft halo, like nutiden. Take care

Lisa and your husband have fun on your little vacation. It looks like 👍 you have plenty of things to do. Your cake 🎂 🥮 turned out great. We'll see you when you get back and share most of the things you got to see and do. Then we might see you make punkin bread or cookies 🍪 🤔 😋.

Oh my! So in love by the garnet colour of your Felix cardigan project ..... and then you end by showing your MKAL kit! Wow! Thank you for reminding me about the Chai cake, I had seen his podcast and thought that I needed to try that, but now I have seen yours I definitely want to make it! Just printed off the recipe! Have a lovely holiday. Good luck with finishing your beautiful Arboreal, looks like you need your hands free for those lovely projects that you have lined up. I just finished my first handspun cardigan, all spun on my IST spindles, which I bought after watching your spindle collection video. Thank you for all the inspiration.❤

I enjoy your videos and seeing Your many ambitious projects! I love the red garnet yarn you just spun, beautiful color, looks like my favorite color of fresh grown beets, yummm! I too have multiple projects started and in various stages of completion....I have quite a bit of yarn and was thinking what else could I use it for. Found a video on rug hooking that you might enjoy watching- made by Ribbon Candy and it is a visit to a studio called Mill River rugs- oh my gosh- so enjoyed seeing the beautiful pieces and all of the colors, I will have to watch it again! Just wanted to drop you a line though to let you know how enjoyable your videos are! And, I would love to do a sock knit along as I am currently in sock mode... Take care and have a wonderful vacation knitting!

HiLisa,I always measure my yardage after washing just by measuring the length of the skein using my figure 8tie as my stop and start points. In this way if there is any shrinkage in the washing I’m covered. I have found this to be more accurate. Grace

Have a good vacation.. thankyou for posting , a lovely episode. I’m quite new to fiber arts and spinning etc , and as an aid to understanding have been weighing and measuring quite a bit as I’ve gone along . Most of the processes I understand why there is often a loss of fiber weight but spinning has me baffled. It nearly always results in a reduction often significant, unless my scales are playing tricks.

Lisa, if your gauge ends up being larger you may be able to knit the size 1 and it end up being the finished size of 2. This is something I do a lot with my handspun.

I feel your grist pain! I am doing my first sweater spin with a long wool, Gotland. My grist is running in the mid 700's. Each skein feels like a load of bricks! I was originally going to make a cardigan, which I still may do, but currently I'm wondering if holding the yarn with mohair and doing a vest or slipover on large(r) needles might make more sense. The yarn is beautiful, but it sure is dense :)

Did I just discover that UA-cam puts all of your channel mentions in a different section of the Studio? Yes. Did I also just discover that you made the cake? Yes. I'm so sorry for ghosting your video!! I had no idea! Looooove that you not only made the cake but enjoyed it precisely the same way I do: extra apples and a cup of coffee. Thank you, sincerely, for the kind words. As I enter into my Spinning Era, don't be surprised if I start showing up at your doorstep with questions hahahaha

Beautiful yarn. Because you plan to knit with a single, I couldn’t see and you didn’t say whether you were spinning Z twist or S twist. Unless yarn is plied, I understand a single yarn intended for knitting should be spun counter clockwise. Thx.

I love your singles yarn for your Felix cardigan - it’s gorgeous. I always worry about whether I’ll be able to spin enough for a jumper…I haven’t tried yet but I have a combo spin planned in the future…
Your mkal kit yarn is stunning and will be beautiful.
    Have a great holiday.
