Red Lights ≠ Win Lights

- Headed to Eddyville Raceway this weekend to race #midwestbracketfest presented by @GallStarTV. The event was great and my first “big event” in the dragster. After a slow start (literally) I made it to the third round Saturday and then Sunday I got bit by some red lights. Great experience and can’t wait to do it again.

One hell of a racer, Best guy I know. He is about to kill this weekend
Thanks man!
Good job man!! Keep doing what you’re doing. You know what you need to do, now just put some seat time in and get more experience. You’ll get there!!! Thanks so much for coming out to the event man, I really REALLY appreciate it!! See you in cedar falls this weekend!! 🤘🤘
Thanks man! You put on an awesome event and I can’t wait for cash harvest! Hopefully I’ll be able to get everything rolling this weekend. I’m learning something new with every pass. Hope to see you in a final round this weekend! 😎🤙🏼
Great video, first big race jitters done now in to the next!
Yes! 🤩
👍
🤙🏼
Good video! Got to race Dale I see lol. One thing I did was drop the bump down value until I stopped going red when I hit it. That’s happened at 003 or 004 for me
That’s a good idea. Yes, Dale dropped me on my head 😂 but I learned from it. Next time I’ll be ripping it. Haven’t seen a race like that yet and didn’t want to give it back lol.
Best thing I ever did was change my bump down to five I had a serious problem when I hit it set on 10. I was the guy you went red against on Sunday.
I recognized the name, cool that you found the channel! That’s definitely the plan this weekend is to make the bump down .005 or less so it doesn’t cause red lights if I hit it. Red Lights ≠ Win Lights. Good luck this season and come say hello if we meet again! 🤙🏼
Good luck to you as well!
What’s up Clayton. Great videos, I’m wondering how you have the GoPro set up on the side of the cage to get that angle.
Currently using a roll cage mount that comes with a 90° twist adapter. Message me on instagram @ overtimeracing and I can get you the link for it!
10 is a TON to have on your bump. I have mine at 5 and I'm still scared to hit it
Plan is to put it at .005 and only use it if I think I’m worse than .030 this weekend to build some confidence in when I push it I know I need it.
Question. If you are ahead why are you planning on dropping. Can’t you just reel him in
Probably would’ve been the better option. Haven’t quite figured out how to do that yet in the dragster but hopefully next time I’ll be able to “reel him in.”
No expert but doesn't making adjustments every round make things harder? I guess I don't understand all the calculations properly....
Not exactly, adjusting off of the last round should make the next race easier. Hopefully I will be able to explain that in a future video!
Take the bump up and bump down buttons out of that car. Your thinking to much. You did great in the Junior without all that stuff. It's over complicating something your good at. Just my $.02.
I appreciate that a lot actually. Kinda forget to trust myself sometimes and it has definitely crossed my mind to take the buttons out of the car. Hopefully I can figure it out for this weekend!
@@OvertimeRacingTV Maybe not take them out just yet, but don't use them for a week or 2 until you get happy with your consistency.
