Danny Kaleikini - Ukulele Festival Hawaii Legacy Award

Honolulu, Hawaii 2018. Ukulele Festival Hawaii Legacy Award honors Danny Kaleikini for his lifetime contributions over the course of his illustrious career. The spirit of aloha and the love of Hawaii is held dearly within Danny Kaleikini, also known as "Kaniela". Danny has been entertaining audiences from around the world for over 40 years and is known for his sold-out dinner shows at the Kahala Hilton that ran for 30 years. Since 1973, Danny Kaleikini has volunteered and supported Ukulele Festival Hawaii as Master of Ceremonies. Through his generous spirit, Danny continues to contribute goodwill, inspiration and beauty to our culture.
Ukulele Festival Hawaii founders, Roy and Kathy Sakuma, have dedicated their life's work to preserving interest in the ukulele and spreading aloha by bringing bringing laughter, love and hope to the world through the music of the ukulele.
