1 of the best production raquets ever made, i have 70 raquets ive tried them all, these 300-315g standard BS they sell you with paint jobs stating its a atp pros raquet, are absolute garbage raquets, made for ametuers, this is RAFAs orginal specs, or prodution quilty control close as can be, i have 8 of them and beleave me you need to tweak them all to be able to play consitantly, any ways out of 8 i can play with 2 of them, other 6 i cant and would need alot of tweaking to get it playable for mt prefrences. i cant enphasis the importance of a raquet in tennis and what it really does to your game, most people think its cause they are doing somthing wrong, just an example a raquet to my prefrence spec, i will make 9 out of 10 shots, and with out of spec raquets, maybe make 1 of 10, thats how big the diffrence can be just cause the raquet you use, and iam talking about only for aggressive shot making winners, if your a player tapping balls back into play and scared to rip a winner when u got the chance and always choose to just play the safe ball back waiting for opnants erroes, this doesnt apply to you, you can basicly use a frying pan and u will get the same result,
It is definitely a niche racket. Like the RF97, it is simply too heavy for the average club/rec player. If you are competing in tournaments, it is a decent competition stick. However, the already heavy weight leaves very little in terms of base customization. If your specs are close to the Origin, then it is an amazing stick to wield stock. The extreme mass provides a lot of power and allows for a more effortless swing to transfer that flat power to topspin power. Basically, you have to play like Rafa to get the most out of it, but considering this is his specs, that is a given.
@@paulcarter3620 I can imagine, I use the Extreme Tours but also have a Pro Staff 97 in the bag and there’s a big difference in plow through just with 11g difference in weight between them
Hey bro, do you feel sluggish to hit kick serve as it is too heavy to generate great racket head speed? My second serve has been less spinning comparing with using a light racket, still struggling to maximise the racket head speed.
Rafa doesn't use this racquet. He uses the original AeroPro Drive that Babolat custom build for him. The Pure Aero Origin is supposed to be close to Rafa's specs in terms of weight and balance. The mould and layup are not the same though.
Being playing with it for 2 weeks w Cyclone 16 g and I think it's too tight. It's a lot of racket. Next string job will be Firestorm 16 1.30 mm at 49 lbs and hopefully it will be a little easier. Thanks again for the your feedback.
Seems like this racket might be a late bloomer. Didn't seem like there was much interest in it when it came out. Probably not the right racket for me but some people seem to really be taking a liking to it.
Tbh, I'm not sure what's heftier....
The swing weight or the price tag 😂
bruh fr
Static weight on the Origin isn’t crazy but target swingweight is 370ish! Probably why it felt crazy stable at net but sluggish serving
That is absolutely why!
I would definitely tail weigh this frame to change the balance point and make it more head light for increased maneuverability!
The power on that racket is crazy 😧
Im skinny but for some reason this racket suits me pretty well..loving it..this racket is a beast!

Great review!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Wanted to try this one for a while, definitely going to be too heavy for my one handed backhand but I still want to have a demo of it
For a one handed back hand it's got great plowthrough

that head dampener on is wildd
Hahaha
thanx for good review. Are you going to do a review of lighter version pure aero rafa 290g?
I don’t have that one rn so prolly not.

Nadal still uses the first pure aero painted as latest.
What's the grip size used in this video?
4 3/8
Do you know if any pro players actually use this racket besides Rafa
I dont know… would guess no
@@MPTennis thank you 🤙🏼🤙🏼

What tension did you have in this Origin?
50lbs
@@MPTennis Thanks. Not too powerful and springy?
@@tombradyandme not with a very contolled 16g string
@@MPTennis Appreciate input. Getting one in the mail tomorrow and wanted to nail down the tension and string so thank you!

Stop it men you made me want to buy it now ...cant decide going for the lighter and customize it
You realy seemed going for a switch rhere
Hahaha… yes it played very nice. There’s no room for customization on this one though.

Absolutely. If people have a chance to try it it’s a fun experience
About a year and a half too late on the review 😂🤣
Great review nonetheless.
Well… had it for an awhile but had no time for reviews. And it’s RG time and could be Rafas last.
