Nice early torqueflite too. Has anyone ever made a hi stall converter for that trans? When I was doin this back in the early 70's my only option was a B&M adapter to use a 727 with the 392 I put in my 59' Fury.
@@1967davethewave depends on the engine. Nowadays, you would be correct. But back when they started to smog control the engines, some used overlap in the valve timing of the cam. The intake and the exhaust would be momentarily open at the same time to control NOX levels. Granted an EGR would have been more effective, but if you lost back pressure then you would screw up your air fuel ratio and the engine would lose power. Thankfully not too many engines where setup like this, at least, not to my knowledge.
If your engine wont idle cold, you need to tune a few things up a bit or perhaps clean the carb, set the points, plugs, idle mixture, etc.,"if you know how". When you immediately rev a cold engine the aluminum pistons expand instantly, thereby scuffing on the cyl. walls, in effect taking years of life out of the engine as compared to warming it up as gently as possible and then sure, give it a few quick blasts, everyone loves to hear the sound of a large displacement v8,especially a Hemi. Holding a cold motor at a high rpm in" neutral" proves nothing, except the owner doesn't deserve to have a beautiful 392 c/w Early torqueflite. Treat it with respect it is a Legend and millions of people would love to have one.
Really good sound!

👍Freak'n Nice!
Beautiful!
dang.... thunder! sounds good
Bad ass 👍😎
Ну что за двигатель??? 👍👍👍марку скажите!
Chrysler FirePower 392 ci v8 Hemi
are you trying to blow up your motor ? do you realize how lean an engine runs with no headers on it ?
It runs the same with or without headers. That's an oldertimers tale.

В нем кобыла 150!
Engines were great, but transmission junk.
would not say so 🤔
