The tour guide at Fair Lane told us that on the day Henry Ford died (in his bed in the mansion) there was no power because the River Rouge flooded the power plant. Actually, the mansion of Henry's son Edsel Ford (Grosse Pointe, MI) is a much more magnificent home. Unfortunately, some of the photos are a bit amusing as they have nothing to do with the houses - like that bowling alley or the heavily gilded ballroom from the Catherine Palace. Sorry, but how can a demolished mansion be a "Must See?" I did enjoy the video.
