I’m rooting for you Brelynn! You can do this! The MCAT is a game of stamina and self confidence just as much as content. Also, my recommendation is that you should not take it until you’ve gotten at least 3 full length practice tests that are at or beyond the score you’re hoping for. It’s not a test to gamble on. Sending you so much positive energy and prayers! You truly are a brilliant doctor!! ❤
Very proud of you!!! I rebuke the spirit of fear, anxiety, and stagnancy in the name of Jesus! You will get an amazing score on your upcoming MCAT, in the name of Jesus! You got this!
When I was studying for the MCAT, this time last year (thrilled to be an incoming MS1 come July!), I was so nervous and moved my test to a May date before I felt ready (which, lbr does anyone ever feel ready?!) and felt all the feelings you mentioned, especially the MCAT making you feel stupid. One thing that helped me a lot was realizing that the MCAT was DESIGNED to be difficult, it is meant to be challenging and to push us to our limits. Normalizing the difficulty of the test made me feel so much better going into test day. The passages are meant to wear us out and some questions try to have their "gotcha" moment and make zero sense. But ultimately, trust your reasoning, strategies, and stay confident throughout!!! Someone is gonna get a 528, why shouldn't it be you!?!?
I really had to stop around the 11 min mark because you really started driving down my street, pulled into my driveway and stood in my houseeee 😭 in more ways than one. Over the week I literally decided to start studying for my 4th retake and wrapping my mind around what it means and what it will take. There’s literally no describing the feeling of studying for that test to someone who has never done it so thank you for this. Especially from the perspective of a believer because it’s way more than a natural thing, it’s like….oh, I have to fight for this on all cylinders.
I'm a M3 and definitely struggled with the MCAT and took it twice. Having taken STEP 1 I can still say that the MCAT was the hardest test I have ever had to take. Please invest in UWorld and commit to doing ANKI, those two resources were game changers for my retake. Someone gave me advice during that period that there should never be a day going by where you aren't doing questions, they are vital. You've got this!!
I definitely agree with you! I had the same thing happen with nursing school! When I got rejected the first time the enemy made me feel so bad, like I was incompetent! But God opened another door where I was able to get in way before the date I intended! Be encouraged we don’t like the bumps on the journey but they help us along the way to our Destiny!❤️
Amen! The MCAT was a spiritual battle for me as well. I'm an MS1 but already having anxiety about Step 1. Your words really solidify how God gives us the ability to overcome these battles
Glad to hear you’re retaking the MCAT! At this point, I’m sure you know the material-you just need to master how to approach the exam. It took me three attempts to pass the Series 7 investment exam, and this was after earning my master’s in business, so I knew the content. A Black woman gave me some great advice: she told me that these standardized exams, especially for professional licenses, aren’t made for/ designed with people of color in mind. She said I needed to focus on learning the strategies to take the test, not just the material. On my third attempt, I shifted my approach. I still reviewed the content, but most of my focus was on strategies for tackling the questions. I did tons of practice questions, breaking them down and reviewing my answers-whether I got them right or wrong. Understanding why I got something right or wrong was key. I also took as many practice exams as I could to familiarize myself with the format and improve my time management. Once I focused on dissecting the types of questions and learning how to approach them, everything clicked. You’ve got this-just keep honing those test-taking strategies!
Relate to this so much and been here since you were at Spelman! Claiming he will rewrite your story and you get over a 510 💐✨! The Enemy has been attacking my mind as well with consistent and the goals the lord has put on my heart as well! Praying for our breakthrough 🫶🏾✨💐
I never thought of the voices in my head as spiritual warfare, I have been struggling so much with being held back because of this , Thank you so much for this❤ I am wishing you the best
I needed this truly! I’m gearing up to study to take it for the third time. My retake was better but not competitive enough. God knew I needed to see this, I never realized that what I have been going through since I took the mcat in 2022 has been spiritual warfare my my my! I have to come back relisten and take some notes. Brelynn you will do amazing on your next MCAT. I cannot wait to see and hear about your MCAT score and future acceptance! I will be praying for you!
Also, I am currently a M1. I took the MCAT three times and felt those exact feelings. However, realizing that no test would stop God promises was helpful in relaxing me and on my third attempt I received my highest score. I will be finishing up my first year in a few months. It has gone great, so far and that is my prayer for you. That your score will improve and as you walk into your next season God will continue to confirm this journey by making your time in medical school amazing!
I love you! Your videos bring me so much joy! You got this Brelynn! God is definitely on your side & I just know He will continue to lead, guide & keep you! Prayers to you on your journey ❤️ You’re a cycle-breaker!! 💪🏿🙌🏿
Brelynn! Thank you so much for being so vulnerable with us. I am in PA school and this resonates with me. I feel so stupid and a failure in school. During exams, my mind is constantly fighting the idea that I am not worthy enough to be in PA school and my grades are showing it. I am still battling how to fight this belief.
This made me cry big tears especially because your sister’s experience with the lsat was my exact experience. I’m feeling charged up tho. I declare it will be enough❤
You got this Brelynn! You are definitely a brilliant physician. I appreciate you sharing your trials. Your testimony is beautiful and so many people need to hear it.
Yes yes yes! It is going to happen for you! I’m believing and trusting God with and for you. His word says He hears us and He will deliver us. He hears your prayers and He got you. You got this girl!
This gives me so much more inspiration! I take the LSAT next year but are studying for it now along with my undergrad studies! There is a FAR greater purpose on you than anything the devil may be conjuring! We’re so happy to see you back at your MCAT studies! We are rooting for you! 🥹🙌🏾💜🫶🏾🙏🏾
This is the sermon I’ve been needing for months. The fear of the DAT is definitely where I am so this is so enriching. Thank you so much. I will have revisit this episode a couple of times this year
It is already accomplished in the spiritual realm, and your faith serves as the title deed to claim it in the physical. Trust that your faith will be rewarded, for "He has made everything beautiful in its time."
You can do this! I understand that F E AR can get in your way. I had to read up on MCAT wow!! I failed my drivers test several times… I failed Life insurance exam one time and passed the second time…I’m praying God gives you wisdom
I enjoyed the scripture declarations at the end of the video. Your voice is very calm. If you ever decide to make a video and record Biblical affirmations, I will definitely tune in and play them before going to bed.
My mom was in/out of the hospital for a year. I primarily met with P.A.'s who offered amazing care, very rarely was it an MD. Also, there's Osteopathic Medicine path.
You've got work to do and the enemy is trying to break you down. Praying that God takes possession of your mind as you lend your thoughts unto Him. You will prepare, you will be ready and you will do well.
God’s timing is everything OVER this journey for you!!! We know your time is coming! I encourage you to listen to “My Time Has Come” by Destiny’s Child. Listen to it over and over…. ❤❤❤❤
When taking the MCAT, if you’ve already passed certain sections, do you need to retake those sections each time you take the test again? As for the GMAT, I took it in parts, and the sections I pass c I passed counts towards your graduation requirements for the master’s program at the university.
Caribbean and DO schools are an AMAZING option if you do your research. I have been watching this channel for years (6+). I'm currently months away from graduating from an MD Caribbean school and matching into my dream speciality, so many ppl shy away from or discredit Caribbean med schools but the right ones are really great options.
Brelynnnnn! God is really using your experience to speak to his children. I believe in you. May God give you the wisdom and the strategy to study effectively and efficiently this season. I declare that this time next year you will be celebrating 515-530 MCAT score in Jesus name. Also I would love a study with me. I'm currently in CRNA school. I would love to study with you virtually. 🫂 🤗

Hey Brelynn, you got this! Progress is a process. Sometimes, you have to do things more than once. Don't give up.

can you speak on how you’re confident that God told you you would be a physician/how you heard that clearly?

Might need to pay big money for a professional MCAT tutor
Myself and other Brelynn supporters will be more than happy to help her financially if she decides to do that option. You got this, Brelynn!
When taking the MCAT, if you’ve already passed certain sections, do you need to retake those sections each time you take the test again? As for the GMAT, I took it in parts, and the sections I pass c
I passed counts towards your graduation requirements for the master’s program at the university.
Each time you take the MCAT, you have to take the full exam, all four sections.
Have you thought about applying to Caribbean medical schools?

What about Georgetown Medical School and you did not need to take the MCAT you just couldn't post on social media
Brelynnnnn! God is really using your experience to speak to his children. I believe in you. May God give you the wisdom and the strategy to study effectively and efficiently this season. I declare that this time next year you will be celebrating 515-530 MCAT score in Jesus name.
