The only nonconsensual spell I've done was a light magic banishment and only because that person was bringing danger to my home. And the condition I asked for was they were leaving because an opportunity they couldn't pass up came up somewhere else

Old Witch here, at least older than anyone in those videos. There's a reason you do not do love spells because you cannot control someone's Free Will and make it last. You are going against their will and forcing something upon them it will always backfire and it will not last. You don't even do love spells on people that are in love with you because then you create obsessive stalkers again free will. The older that I get the more grateful I am I was raised by a witch I had a weird upbringing but at least I have common sense about this shit.

All the witches I know and taught me, always always always say ANY kind of blood magic is bad. And you are 100% not supposed to do anything against someone's own will. You will have that come back at you 3 fold. That's how this works

Blood magic isn't inherently bad, you just have to know what you're doing. I used to be afraid of blood magic and doing more baneful practices but then I read Of Blood and Bones by Kate Freuler and it really opened my mind and helped me understand the left handed path. Highly, HIGHLY recommend this book if you ever have the chance to read it. Truly my favorite book on witchcraft and I come back to it for references all the time

Lesbian witch here. Spells I do, have to do with myself, usually self love, prosperity, luck, and protection. The only times I've ever made spells for other people it has been friends and family who asked for something specific like health. Straight up love spells between two people is always suspicious. I've seen some examples where the two people are already together and the love spell is being made to help keep love in the relationship and has been agreed upon by both parties.
Theres a whole section of femcels on tik tok. Had one get into an argument with me because "misandry isn't real!" Then assumed I was a man because I said "sexism is sexism." I am, in fact, a woman 😭 there's a really weird section of ppl on tik tok that don't want equality, but merely a shift of privilege. Its so weird to me. Why can we not just...judge people based on their actions? Its okay to be wary of men- but hating every single one of them without even meeting them? Wild

I stand by that love spells should not target an individual. I think glamour spells (spells that make you feel/look more attractive) are great! Even doing affirmations/manifestations saying I attract loving people is good. But singling out an individual takes away their free will. I’m a Unitarian and practice some witchy stuff and thought that clarification might help.

Yeah, I have to agree. I once was appointed to a discord that I was told would help me with a problem I was having with something that was seemingly mimicking my family. They were nice at first, but when I updated them they became a little hostile (imo) and told me to stop talking about it. I also one time mentioned my favorite band because that was a qotd and I replied with Cigarettes After Sex, because that is one of my favorite bands, and they gave me like a ban for some time.
My gut instincts were telling me they were mostly TikTok witches, I didn’t want to say anything but their terminology and need to sorta backlash at things and not actually help or provide answers made me believe so, and I trust my instincts a lot, especially when it comes to chatting with people online. And so I left, and got help from my friends who are actually witches who helped me with ease were happy to hear me out and when I updated them. I haven’t had much trouble since.
Thank u Louis, I get when ppl say “all men” and stuff like that but it still hurts my feelings sometimes bc like, I am going out of my way to try and be someone others feel safe around but some ppl just don’t care and only see me for my gender

I do love how you talked about the need for consent cause I completely agree. I am a witch and while I agree you can use a spell to attract love, making a spell to make a person love you is wrong and harmful. I have only made a love spell once with my girlfriend and it was with her consent. We made the spell together that we will both be protected through our love and that it will help our love grow stronger.

I hate the argument “all men are bad” because I know a LOT of trans men who are still connected to their femininity and have grown up through “girl hood” which normalizes sexual harassment from a young age. Many trans men go through these things as well, and telling us that all men suck or are bad, diminishes our experiences. I’ve not known one trans man who has ever been sexist or misogynistic. And telling us “well you don’t count” just makes us feel like we aren’t real men. Not all men are bad, but there are a lot of men out of the 4billion on earth who do suck, but that doesn’t give you the excuse to hate them. Same thing for me, but I'm multigender. Most people making those generalizations seem to think that no one could be both a man and a woman. So I'm stuck in this weird space of "am I bad because I'm a man or do I not count because I'm a woman" because I know they will just erase whatever is most convenient for them.
And I've been abused by both men and women, but I don't go around hating just everyone. Most people are not abusive.

She emotionally and sexually abused me and I went years not knowing it was sexual abuse because everything is framed as “only men can do it” and “you weren’t abused as a kid if it wasn’t by an older man” it made me feel really horrible and like it was my fault what happened to me
I kinda get your point, but the “connection to womanhood” thing seems like you’re invalidating yourself/us in general. I’m also a trans guy but I’ve seen other trans guys be equally sexist to cis guys, and I’ve heard from women than trans guys have been weird to them and used this “connection to womanhood” as an excuse. I totally agree that saying trans guys don’t count in the “I hate all men” thing is invalidating but the rest of your comment kinda reads as a longer way of writing that same idea that trans men don’t count for this. @@sketchystrawberry302I'm not entirely sure "connection to womanhood" is the right phrase, but i don't know what IS honestly considering how much living/being percieved as a woman has affected me my whole life despite not actually being one. The people who sexually harassed me or treated me badly based off my sex didn't care or know that I wasn't a woman, the fact they thought I was was enough to justify their actions and my body doesn't do much to contradict that. It's not a universal experience to trans men/transmasc people, but it is a common enough experience. Personally, I'd call it a connection to womanhood myself because I don't know how else to describe it, but that doesn't mean it's the right way to. It just means we need to develop the language to talk about it better.

Hi witch here, um none of these spells actually work, the closest thing (to my understanding) that would actually work is a love jar, and basically what that is, is just herbs and stones that represent love, it’s not out to a specific person but rather a spell that helps finding love a bit easier, it’s still all consensual, now I’m not a 100% on this for I don’t do love spells but from what I learn from actual witches and context (such as books and stuff) this is the proper way to do such spell

As a Hellenic pagan, I hate to say it, but I find Sav to be a bit weird. Like he has god spouses, which inherently weird to me. (Thats when you're "married" to a god.) To me, it feels like you're sexualising the gods. It's honestly feels like such a new age thing, and it creeps me out. But thats just my opinion on it.

Speaking as one trans man to another, yes, you have the POTENTIAL to be a bigot. That does not automatically make you (or I) one, but we are men. So are gay men. All men (and women let's be real) are capable of misogyny and other bigotry. All men are surrounding by the patriarchy, and many trans and gay men DO often succumb to toxic masculinity and mistreat women, femmes, and just anyone who doesn't seem to fit the mold to them. Including other men who don't fit the bill of "masculinity" to them. Yes, even trans men will attack other trans men for this. I've seen it. We are not immune to bigotry just because we are oppressed in our own way.

As a witch sav is the only one that we claim, most of them aren’t real witches and most witches that I am friends with don’t do love spells because it’s a little gross since they can’t consent to it, her newer content is not the same as some of her older content, and I do not agree with the sum of the things that she has said in her past she’s definitely changed and grown and she’s a really decent person. There are videos of people talking about how they were affected by love spells. Dreaming, random scratches on their back, etc. it doesn’t make them fall in love with you, it physically hurts them and in my opinion, would make me avoid and fear you. So yeah, very bad idea

This girl pisses me off, as a trans man. It ignores misogyny. They think trans men are just as capable as cis men at hurting people like trans men havnt grown up as women.
i do think, men arent the minority. There was a study on collage age men and A LOT of them said they did assault people. I do think its wrong to say theyre all bigots but i also understand if she has trauma.

On the topic of love spells, I often see in media where magic exists and is practiced freely, love spells are often illegal or need some kind of special permission to use (idk about Princess Cadence in mlp but she’s special). It’s likely to do with consent, but laws are rarely discussed in those stories lol.

I’m pretty sure most witches (at least the ones I know) are pretty much against using love spells (without consent) just because it exists doesn’t mean that you should use it, I guess. or something along those lines
I just wanted to let everyone know that these witches do not represent the entirety of the Wiccan community. I am not a witch myself, but I do have family members who are and have been to conventions run by witches. They are usually very kind people and keep to themselves most of the time. But, like everything, there will always be a few not great people in the bunch. I still just wanted to let everyone know nonetheless that most witches are not like this and are relatively chill 😭

Nice work. 😎 I’m a trans gay man myself and to be honest, one of the main reasons I had trouble coming out as a man was because I held the belief that all men are to be perceived as disgusting and bad because I heard lots of people, including people in my own life, saying similar things. This made me feel disgusted with myself and made me take longer to come out. I think people need to understand that there is a difference between making a comment like “men kinda suck sometimes” rather than “men are horrible people” or even “I hate men.” I know it’s hard for a lot of people to understand, especially if many men in their lives have hurt them, but that anger should be directed at the people who hurt you, not their identity. Seeing someone’s race, sexuality, gender orientation, or ethnicity before them as a person is bigoted. Hate should never be solved with more hate. That just leads to more people feeling awful about themselves and feeling like they have to throw hate back. Especially when the context is gender. Like that’s a very fluid thing that is very personal and looks different for every person. I should know. So, when I hear someone say “all men are disgusting” or “men are bigots”, I am not complaining about it because I am misogynistic or deny that people born male and continue to identify as such have hurt people and have had special privileges, I am complaining because it hurts me and makes me feel ashamed for a part of myself that I can’t control. I don’t want to be “a disgusting man”, but I can’t change my gender identity because that’s who I am. Men shouldn’t make those comments about women, women shouldn’t make those comments about men, and people in general shouldn’t make those comments about identities. People need to learn to cast their judgement on the person themselves, not what they can’t change. Just some food for thought. Thanks again Louis! ❤
