Dear Adam: Just ordered my first BMX bike, i used to do some when i was in second grade(14 now in 9th grade) and i was always afraid of dropping in, I live in central NY and im heading to Cranx indoor/outdoor bike park in 2 weeks with my 2 bmx friends, Im going to use your tips to get around and such, and learn over the next couple weeks, i have a MTB right now because i ride a long distance to my friends neighborhood and we bike around, occasionally i get on his bike and do a manny and JHops, work in progress of course. Used to hit box jumps in vermont and ride the half pipes and small stuff. Anyway, thank you for your vids. (The bike i ordered was from danscomp, United Recruit JR, Metallic blue and 20" top tube. Friend said that his buddy used to have it and it was an amazing bike.
One thing he forgot to mention. When your going in sideways make sure your front wheel is on an angle, not parallel with the edge. If you ride straight down sideways your tires will slip and you'll stack(happened to me before😂😂)
LOVE your tutorials. EXTREMELY helpful, unlike most. BTW, I'm a skater, and I want to get into BMX somewhat. The only bike I have is a 2010 Diamondback Option. Is it any good? It was the only bike under like 400 without massive sprockets and 1 peice cranks lol.
Ive skated for years and can drop on about anything with my board, but i just recently started BMX, so since im used to ramps...should I be worried going in on a bike? is it easy? im just looking for some confidence
Oh my God thank you so much when I went down the 6 foot ramp at my skate park I thought I was going to face plant on the ground but because of you I didn't thanks 👍👊😃
Dude Adam. Please please please make more videos like this? They're great and you're awesome at bmx. You're backyard ramp is 10x the size of that, you're a sponsored pro, and you've barely filmed bmx in the last two months. Please make a how to
does it matter witch way you drop in cause im left foot forward and ur right so does it matter or not ive been dropping in straight just cus i learnt that way i wanna try doing it the other ways like in your vid tho
I see Dugan do the 2nd drop in the most and I feel that would be more comfortable I'm not very sure since I just started but it would be cool if you could reply to it since your the one giving the info (I don't like keeping my pedals even and I'm not very sure if that would mess me up)
Guys here's a tip for learning almost anything. When you're learning get some music that gets you pumped, and just go for it. Most of the things in bmx are just about doing it once and then you've pretty much got it dialled because you're no longer scared.
I needs some help.. I just got a new Mirraco five star nmx bike and when i ride with only one front peg, my whole tire loosens and the side that the peg is on is the one thats always loose.
ooo i've got a suggestion, you should do feeble and smith stall on quarter how to's, even though i can do 'em fine now getting into smith is hard and getting out of them both smooth is weird when you first try!
at the skate park i go to im just teach myself to ride i can do jumps and ramps but the only way for me to work on dropping in is a bowl and i havent figured out how to jump back out i cant get enough speed or something any tips man?
Adam lz thanks so much Cuz I just got back into riding 3 weeks ago and I already got my tailwhips etc back. I completely forgot how to drop in lol. But thanks bro
i droped in on a nine foot yesterday, i fell then got up and did it again, i fell again then i came home started going on the computer and i see this damn do i wish i would've watched this earlier
I am just a little scared to like fall face first to flat.. But I will try the peg one to get me comfortable haha but thanks I have been checking out your vids you are really good!
I can only turn right .idk why but can 180 left at all and I'm left foot forward so that has everything to do with it but how do I get used to jumping left
Same here. Its funny i can drop in on steep quarters with no coping that are like 12 feet high. But i can get the nerve yet to drop in on a 4 foot quarter with a coping.
Harrigo Z I'd suggest just going in on an angle. it is less simple, and yes it is more scary, but its much smoother and once you get the hang of it, you'll find that you'd rather go in on angle than straight.
ChrisTheAnt just go for it DONT stay at the cooping just looking down thats how you will sike yourselve out just hop in dont think about it ps this is just my opinion from how I learned
Super helpful. Even though its a simple tutorial about dropping in it helped me with vert confidence so thanks bro.
56 people ride scooters and are mad because they can't clear a speed hump without scraping.
love your profile pic, man. killjoys, make some noise
I just jump them tho but I have a bmx a scooter roller blades and a skateboard but it got stolen so I only have box and scooter and roller blades bit j also have a mount bike
Kieran Minec yeah, but so many kids get scooters and then just ruin lines in parks and scrape everything.
+cakeless coder idk that but it don't go to the park forittho cos I not allowed sky down me road I do it and it ok we made ramps we did then they get stolen so we had a a good one the wall so we would jump it and then some stolen it so we use the curbed yiu can see in me bid I do it cos we don't have r,apps I used jump so high in a ramp tho and I like e me bmx
Kieran Minec you are like 2

If u don't hav pegs can u still droP in like that or do the other way, I prefer the other way but it would be nice to try the others too bro.
I'm happy you landed that tallwip. And did you make that ramp
I have a dk race bike with a really big sprocket. Will this make it more difficult
I see Dugan do the 2nd drop in the most and I feel that would be more comfortable I'm not very sure since I just started but it would be cool if you could reply to it since your the one giving the info (I don't like keeping my pedals even and I'm not very sure if that would mess me up)
...Americans are good at turning left
Im new to BMX and this helped alot

Does it matter what side the sprocket is on because will it scrap if it's on the right?
what are the dimensions of your halfpipe? nice video btw!
Hey am new to bmx and i need help with bunnyhops cus I can't seem to lift the back wheel when am riding it

I needs some help.. I just got a new Mirraco five star nmx bike and when i ride with only one front peg, my whole tire loosens and the side that the peg is on is the one thats always loose.
Bro this vid was so helpful thx. All i was scared about its my sprocket scraping the coping and i'd fall off or something
Thank you men because of this Hop In thing i finally get enough speed for higher Flyouts :D
awesome video just like all your others. keep up th good work

@AdamLZHowtos what if your sprockets on the right but you drop in on the left? does it really matter?
Thanks this helped a lot I can now drop in!
Thanks for the help now I actually got some confidence now.
ooo i've got a suggestion, you should do feeble and smith stall on quarter how to's, even though i can do 'em fine now getting into smith is hard and getting out of them both smooth is weird when you first try!

Adam lz thanks so much Cuz I just got back into riding 3 weeks ago and I already got my tailwhips etc back. I completely forgot how to drop in lol. But thanks bro
Great vid, got yourself a subscriber :)
Thanks for this vid it gave me the confidence to drop in
I just noticed that he did a oppisite tailwhip nice one man!
Do you have to lean forward or back WHILE dropping in? Because im afraid i might fly forward
As soon as u feel your front tire about to touch, lean back a little.!
Not too far or else you will manual and fall on your back
keep your self even today i went down a ramp facing forword to much and nose manuled all the way pretty scary
its just a left turn lol, awsome vid
i droped in on a nine foot yesterday, i fell then got up and did it again, i fell again then i came home started going on the computer and i see this damn do i wish i would've watched this earlier
Ive watched countless videos. I need your courage. Ive dropped in on big quarterpipes without a coping. But not even small ones with a coping.
LZ you rock my world
How much does your bike weigh?
thanks for the advice and by the way nice drop
I am just a little scared to like fall face first to flat.. But I will try the peg one to get me comfortable haha but thanks I have been checking out your vids you are really good!
Thanks man, I watched this half an hour ago, was able to drop in first try
but what if your sprocet is on the right side on the bike do u drop in going to the feft??????
where did u get your halfpipe from ?
Who's watching in 2018
im left foot forward do i drop in the same way? im confused?
that oppo whip was jizzz
The ranps at my local park are not ass wide ass yours so its kinda hard to dobut after a while i got it so thx for the help on how to hop in
As not ass XD lol
I can only turn right .idk why but can 180 left at all and I'm left foot forward so that has everything to do with it but how do I get used to jumping left
what about dropping into a vert ramp? say 12 or 14 foot. i can hop into an 8 foot no problem
If you search up how to drop in to a vert ramp on bmx and it should solve your problem. Hopefully I helped you and good luck in dropping into vert :)
video on how to 180 over the coping back into the quarter pipe?
damn...that oppo hwip was sick !
Thanks that helped a lot!
thanks mate that really helped
Thank you can't wait to try it on my mountain bike lol.
Thank u sooo much this helped me out alot😆😆😀😀👍
This was great!
how much was that ramp?
Nice tips + whip:)
u are pro!!!!! What are your sponsers????
does it matterr what side the chain wheels on
Firstly what a tail whip secondly thanks real gd video
in stead of goin in side ways could you go in straight ?
If you have no sprocket go for it haha. Otherwise going in sideways ensures the sprocket doesnt hang up on the coping sending you to the flat bottom.
Category pets and animals?
Clicked the add, wooooo. nice how-to, too
thanks bro really helped
Man you're the best!
I'm petrified dude. Have to do it though.
Same here. Its funny i can drop in on steep quarters with no coping that are like 12 feet high. But i can get the nerve yet to drop in on a 4 foot quarter with a coping.
Robert Hurley Jr hahah that was me just prentend the quarter is a small curb or something that’s what helped me
I love you bmx !!!)))
This helps alot thnx
nice casual switch whip
Helped me alot
How necessary is it jump in rather than just slowly pedal in?
TheAnt 777 slowly pedaling in might cause you to scrape or ruin your chain, cranks and the sprocket
Māris Sedlenieks my chain, cranks and sprocket all clear it though
How do you go straight in without going at an angle? Just lift up front wheel?
yep pretty much. But if u go in straight then u back wheel jumps up and it can a bit bumpy
ok
Harrigo Z I'd suggest just going in on an angle. it is less simple, and yes it is more scary, but its much smoother and once you get the hang of it, you'll find that you'd rather go in on angle than straight.
Yes that does make sense, cheers mate
Harrigo Z ye no worries mate
Is dropping in on a BMX easier than a skateboard and scooter?
Scooter is easiest, then bmx on smaller ramps but on big ramps, skateboards and bmx is about the same level of scariest
Nice video quality...
thanks, very useful video!!!
why is ur sprocket to the left side? :)
Helped so much
Nice
did u get that table upside down all the way from Stijn Hens lol "that was a good invert right there 4:12 lol
I've been riding BMX for two months now and I'm still too scared to drop in. Anything I can do to get over my fear?
ChrisTheAnt just go for it DONT stay at the cooping just looking down thats how you will sike yourselve out just hop in dont think about it ps this is just my opinion from how I learned
I have pegs on each side of my haro and it's really heavy. Thx for tips I'll try that
hmm well im left foot forward and i learned to drop in left, does it matter or?
like the Tail whip
what grips?
adam can u do a video on how to get over a fear of trying a new trick
