out of all the metal guitarists I've ever seen, I've never seen anyone put EQUAL priority into the metal side of their playing as the weird experimental side of their playing as wes. its crazy that the band that wrote nookie and full nelson have the same guitar player as the guy who wrote crystal machete. it really bums me out seeing people say that wes IS the band: he'll be the first guy to tell you that isn't the case. this whole band is underrated and fucking awesome. limp bizkit has taught me a lot about music, and the lessons i've learned from them, and all their affiliated projects, have been my secret weapon musically. the things you learn from limp bizkit are things you can ONLY learn from limp bizkit.

Wes Borland's guitar playing aged like a fine wine compared to most "nu-metal" guitarists. Dude's an artist.
other great groups just topped out at sounding like they do in 3 dolla bill, even more others sound like they did in starfish, few other successes have a sound very similar to Unquestionable Truth, they just add a lot more chorus to lean on. Melodic Chorus, and too much of it, PASS. I like the 3 minute songs. Significant Other is my fav album, short but sweet, and my 4th grade ass self didn't know it yet, but prophetic. I didn't know I'd be hearing my life played back to me, all the struggles I couldnt relate to became so vividly real. IT's kinda crazy tbh.
Crazy that a band that's been influenced by, and influenced so many others, can be hated. They just got too big too quick. And they became easy as Nickelback to hate on when the trend followers moved on.
