Jupiter is the biggest planet in our Solar System. With 79 moons, it falls just behind Saturn’s moon count of 82. Imagine looking up into the night sky and seeing not one but 79 different moons beaming back at you. What would this new night sky look like? How would this affect the Earth’s tides? And how soon would this beautiful sight bring disaster?

What if the moon was made of cheese
He is the science teacher we always wanted
cool
I actually had a science teacher like him once, i miss 11th grade astronomy class so much!!!
Exactly!✨🔥
True and I do know the future so earth is going to get swallowed in the future
excluding Ms Frizzle :)
My life would not be complete without this man becoming my science teacher.
and this video scares me
Many of the satellites currently in orbit would be at risk of destruction if they collided with a moon. It could jeopardize future space missions too. Earth's orbit would be dangerously clustered. That could mean that the Earth might end up with rings, similar to what Saturn has.
Agreed
That would be amazing, and a beautiful sight! And..,pretty chaotic.
Yeah the tidal waves would be disastrous
It would look like bubbles in the sky
If this actually happened in real life then you would be happy
Not all moons would appear big enough.
@@umanggada8684 Ya we would not see all the moons
The usual short answer: we die.
I guess this would take into account if all of Jupiter's moons somehow left Jupiter and came to our orbit and settled into orbits around the Earth. I would think since Europa would be closer to the sun, it's ice might melt and evaporated, so it may look different. Another hypothetical scenario would be what if the Earth became a moon of Uranus?
It would be frozen lol duh
I don't think my anus can handle a moon let alone Earth
@@charity9660 There is more to that hypothetical scenario than just being frozen.
@@TheVarrio 😂
@@TheVarrio LOL
Im sure there would have been a page in history called "The Moon Wars" by now
ok
Alright
you forgot to mention that Europa's ice would melt into an ocean, since along earth, she'd now be in the goldilocks zone, and could potentially create an atmosphere on that specific moon...
But Europa Doesn't have a magnetic field, so those new oceans would be blown away due to solar wind same with her atmosphere
@@Quintupletians good point
@@raynekraven thx
Yup
@@Quintupletians Not in our live times. It could keep an ocean and atmosphere for a 1000 years?
Jupiter: OK WHO STOLL MY MOONS!
Earth:I didn’t I swear they just came to me one day
Jupiter gets angry and get smashed to earth 😂😂😂
@@rakkersdoraya1233 ayo
Jupiter- Ok i am going out for a vacation will all gas giants so Earth you get bombarded by comets, Asteroids, Meteorites every single thing
😂 that was more funny than it needed to be
@@user-fy5zc8ht5o Earth: i swear if i was 10x the size of you i would've destroyed you entirely
Man, I really wish my classes were as interesting as the videos 'What If' makes!!
Keep up the great work! :)
The editing is really good in this video well done.
Thank you!
I just want to say wow. this is some great editing. I bet it took a while to piece together everyone's cams and sync it. Good job....❤️
We are very thankful for your comment. Thanks for watching!
I cant believe how entertaining this videos are
Right!
These videos are always so worthy watching!
What If, makes killing us all sound exciting. LMAO

Fun fact you might know already: saturn is the king of moons
"Mommy the sky has developed pimples"😂😂😂
Fun Fact: Ganymede, one of Jupiter's Big 4, is proven to be hospitable for Moon Dome Civilizations, if it weren't for it's distance from us.
It's Ganymede. And I don't think it would be much of a big deal because technology will always improve. If we developed technology for large pods of humans to be able to travel to Ganymede alone, there certainly will be technology that will make the moon habitable.
Me:Wants Jupiter's moon
Ganymede: Allow me to introduce myself
Me:Nah Imma Love Luna (Moon)
Loving these videos. Keep it up what if
I learned a lot of things in WHAT IF I want to know more of your videos because of you I made an A plus in the test
Jupiter: my moons is beautiful
Earth: * NoW It'S mInE "
Love your videos every now and then

Scientists estimate that Europa's surface is about 20 million to 180 million years old, which makes it fairly young. Pictures and data from the Galileo spacecraft suggest Europa is made of silicate rock, and has an iron core and rocky mantle, much like Earth does.
Mars*
@@ApeOW no, not mars
and is covered in ice too
Surely Europa's ice would melt from being closer to the sun?
We would see its underground ocean
Video idea: What if we had the same gravity as our moon?
Vid idea: what would happen if we replaced the moon for the smallest planets in the universe which we have discovered of course
Gotta admit, that would be pretty awesome.
Great video!!
that would be so cool to see multiple moons in the night sky
This guy makes science look so fun
Average person: I wonder what would happen if I ate this entire pizza by myself.
What If: Wanna know what would happen if we swapped our Moon out for 79 moons?
I learn more from this channel than I learned from school
Jupiter be like: imma leave a note
Dear earth take care of my moons on vacation
I finally able to see the voice behind What If
Cool video man
I’ve been waiting for 3 years for him to take this suggestion
Jupiter:earth you can have my moons earth:yay thanks
Earth:oh no jupiter:oh my god im sorry
Awesome Knowledge,❣️❣️❣️♥️♥️♥️
What if has been teaching me for 1 year now!!!!
That would be so amazing. What if !
Another fun video!
_These videos are making out days better_
Nice video 👍
What would happen if mercury became earths new moon and the moon replaced mercurys spot in the solar system?
Dual planet system and maybe a lot of destruction due to gravity fluctuations
Appearently Mercury being our moon wouldn't be too bad.
I mean the size difference is only a few hundred kilometers
@@ApeOWbut the mass from mercury is almost has much as earth
Very nice video
I imagine it be pretty insane if we had moons that would possibly almost end us.
Damn imagine being high and seeing 79 moons in the sky.
But you would only see 5 moons (if Earth,s moon was still there)
That shot would be scary!
Even if earth had jupiter's moons i'm still gonna be single.
Io, Europa, Callisto and Ganymede are also nicknamed The Galilian Moons.
thank you for teaching me all of this now I am rely smart
I love your vids very much
the teacher we want and the teacher we needed
A+ for "Animation" & just a (c) for creativity😁

This is like Earth babysitting Jupiter's moons and them causing chaos
Interesting video
Ganymede talking to Jupiter's 78 other moons: so should I tell him or one of you
Callisto: I will tell him
Callisto: **going to Jupiter**
Callisto: uh hey
Jupiter: oh hey Callisto, how are you
Callisto: I'm fine, thank you but-
Jupiter: But What?
Callisto: **says to himself in his head: I can't do this, Ganymede should, he is the biggest**
Callisto talking to himself: no, I can do this
Callisto: so me and your other moons are going to where-
Jupiter: WHERE ARE YOU GOING!
Callisto: to earth
Jupiter:.WHAT! (in the voice of chief kairo from eystreem's series: the magic of Kuma)
Callisto: **shivering intensifies**
Jupiter: WHERE IS GANYMEDE! I NEED TO TALK TO HIM
Callisto: yes, I will get him over here
Callisto with Ganymede: Jupiter wants to talk with you
Ganymede: Ok
Ganymede: **goes to Jupiter**
Jupiter: oh did Callisto send you?
Ganymede: yes, so umm he told me that it was about us going to Earth's orbit,
Jupiter: yes, SO WHY ARE YOU GOING,
Ganymede: well some of us are getting kinda bored and some of us want to have fun (not the same)
Jupiter: oh I see how it is, you are bored/tired of me, how could you, I raised you all for 4.5 billion years!
Ganymede: sorry but bye
Jupiter: BYE, GO HAVE FUN OR WHATEVER
Jupiter when Ganymede is going: this is ridiculous, I have raised them for 4.5 billion years!
The 79 moons: cya
Juphiter:i have a gift for you earth:IO? EUROPA? CALISTO? GANIMEDE?

That‘s so interesting
Imagine the effect of gravity of these moons on mind
That’s so cool

Nice 👍
I wish this was my science teacher
Having Calisto allone would make our climate more stable? sounds nice.
Earth was like GIVE ME UR MOONS OR I WILL THROW SUN INTO U
SO MANY MOONS MAKES NIGHT AWSOME
That’s CRAZY & COOL !!!
Europa be like, I wear my sunglasses at night 🌃
Jupiter: where are my 79 moons?
Earth: Just got to me one day🤫
This close to the sun, the moon would melt the ice. So, the reflection would not be that noticable.
Also, placing the moon's at the distance in relative to the distance from the home planet, the tides would be higher, but not enough to get too deep.
By my calculations it would raise the tide double the current tides.
Plus this in fact would allow a more stable atmosphere, and would help the Earth release much more greenhouse gases. 👍 Nice video however 😁.
So will that be good or bad
I would think Saskue was using planetary devastation.
79 moons? Almost NICE!
92 moons in the night be crazy
That would be a pretty SCARY site.
Jupiter:where are my moons?
Earth:i stole your moons
Just watching disaster movie clips stresses me out
I feel so bad for those poor civilians
The part where he said:"dude you need to clean the jacuzzi"
Him:"ew- what?I don't have a jacu-oh my bath tub-

The Earth's moon has the biggest gravitational force as compared all those moons.
Wrong
I'm not in any way a physics student so I could be wrong and incomplete here.
The effects would be highly dependent from where they will be located (How far they will orbit from earth) which remained unspecified in this video. Now, let's transfer all of Jupiter's moons to Earth without changing their proximity to their parent planet.
That means:
Io will be 422,000 Km from the Earth
Europa at 671,000 Km
Ganymede at 1,070,000 Km
Callisto at 1,883,000 km
And all other smaller moons at their usual place.
But due to Earth's proximity to the Sun and it's relatively much smaller than Jupiter, Earth's hill sphere is only 1,500,000 Km meaning any object that orbits Earth further than this will break free and orbit the Sun instead.
So already, we just lost almost all of the moons, including a major one, Callisto. Leaving us only Io, Europa, Ganymede and a few moonlets left in orbit.
Now let's get to the gravitational effects.
Io is 1.21 times the mass of the moon
Europa is 0.66 times the mass of the moon
Ganymede is 2 times the mass of the moon.
With only my amatuer calculations from their mass and distance, the apparent gravitational pull of Io to the Earth will be about 1.001 as much as the moon would, in other words, 0.1% greater. Europa would be about 0.22 (22%) as much, Ganymede about 0.257 (25.7%).
The combined apparent gravitational forces of the 3 moons to the Earth will be 1.478 or 47.8% greater than the moon would. I'll let you be the judge of how much this will affect life. And no, Earth won't be tidally locked to one of them anytime soon and would continue spinning at a normal rate. The 3 moons would more likely be tidally locked to Earth instead.
This is too amazing, I just don't get it!
What if earth was a moon of Jupiter!? Can u make this episode next?
Perfect
Jupiter: Someone stole my Moons!
Earth: What?
Please make a video about space junk on our earth's orbit
What if channel exists.
Marvel : Let’s copy his idea ,what if😂👍
this would be pretty chaotic if eurpa gets life
Make a what if earth had a stronger gravitational force than the solar system (not the sun) gravitational forces combined
*Solarballs Ganymede taking notes from this
Nice
Well many of my space related fever dreams would very likely become a reality.
Vid idea: why does Jupiter have so many moons
Wouldn't the ice on Europa melt a little, giving us a small neighboring water planet?
