Recording was expensive and time consuming back then. So many cool bands left no evidence of their music. Glad these blokes has the means to make records.
I used to have this single I loved it the cover is pink isn't it? I've found loads of stuff that I listened to years ago. I'm into ska, mod, punk, garage everything form 60's up to the mid 80's my favourite period is 76-87
I got this ordered at my local record shop around 1985/86, which was a pre-order. It was dated 1979, but I'm sure it didn't come out then. All that was about was Opening Up and Angry Voices.
a friend of mine from back in the day (late 90s) had this tune on cd compilation of mod revival stuff....i tape it and now i don't even know where the tape is...glad i found this. Great stuff!
The Circles were a Great Mod Band! Did they ever go on tour in The United States of America? If they did? I was seeing a couple of bands live right across the street somewhere on Hollywood Boulevard? Sunset Boulevard? Or Melrose Avenue? I have The Circles Single on The Unsung Heroes Mod Compillation on a Very Rare Strawberry Vinyl Record. Also on the This Is Mod ( The Best Of ) CD Compillation & the 100% British Mod CD Compillation!!!!
Steve, the band never did tour the States and the original band were only around for about 18 months. We will be reforming in May, 2019 for our 40th Anniversary and will be playing dates in England.
@@gemspa73 Thanks for your reply. Congratulations on your 40th Anniversary Tour in England! I know The Circles probably will not be able to Tour in The United States? However? If you could post some live video clips on you-tube from your upcoming Tour in England for all of us to watch? That would be Awesome!
The Circles, never really got the following they deserved. Check out some of their anthems... Angry Voices, Billy, Opening Up, private World, Loves got a Hold.... just for starters
Lee Bentley The Jam fall into the exact same category as I described earlier. In the sixties, there were no groups who said, "We're a mod group and we want to play music for mods." Artists recorded the music that they wanted to, and likewise, those that identified with the mod scene liked what they liked, without attaching a label to it. So called and self styled 'mod bands' (The Jam included) of later periods actually have a post punk / new wave, slightly aggressive sound, that would be alien and unpleasant to the 'true' original-era mods of the early sixties. 'Mod' was original, exiting and of its time. Any reincarnation that appeared over a decade later, is at best an 'homage,' and at worst, inaccurate mimicry / dressing up.
見過ごされがちだけど、良曲の宝庫

James Evans , do you want to sell one, pretty please.
Not Mod. Poor attempt at recreating a phenomenon that was original, of its era, exciting and time-expired by 1966.
Heli-crew,what were The Jam then?

@@heli-crewhgs5285 Great song--great band (local to me) whats your problem?
Who cares? Enjoy good fucking music
@@heli-crewhgs5285 The Jam, as they themselves state, were a key new wave/punk band before the mod revival which they were also part of
