As always just brilliant. My first exhibition was one the most enjoyable things I ever did. Frightening and exhilarating in equal measure. A goal to do in the year ahead. Thanks for this!
Fantastic that you have had an exhibition!!
I love the beach series
Thanks so much
Hi Paul! First, I loved the little movie with your girlfriend! The old-timey feeling to the video as well as the background music was PERFECT. As for an exhibit for your photographs...fantastic!!! As far as I know no one has put on a photo exhibit that represents more than one photographer. However, I think that that is a great idea.
I love your channel and content! --> Liked and subscribed.
Thanks so much! I’m so glad you’ve found my channel too!! Sharing an exhibition can really cut down costs!! I think I’m going to start small and work up to the dream exhibition!!
Hi Paul, one thing first: The look of your photos from the beach is great! The style, outfit and colours remind me of our 70s vacation photos. That's a really cool look. "Urban Character", my street photography exhibition this year, took place in April. It's brilliant to arrange your own photographs and experience them for yourself over a long period of time in a gallery. Feedback on this, mostly positive, helped me to have a good, personal perception. There is a lot of motivation in it. And last but not least, so much new, sustainable networking has emerged from this, that “next level” is definitely correct in this regard. Best regards, Dirk
Thanks so much!! That’s so cool that you had an exhibition!! I think I’m going to start off small very soon and keep printing until I can do a big one!
@@paulreidphotography Your photos are fantastic, Paul! And beyond that, you have a lot to tell through them. If it weren't such a great distance, I would definitely come and watch it.
The editing on the beach shots were amazing.
Thanks so much!! The photos were taken on film using Tri X using an M6. These were just scanned in with little editing. The video footage was done using an app called 8mm
@@paulreidphotography oh, I’m surprised. What an amazing technique.
Great photo series at the beach. What a bathing beauty you have there (you ain’t too shabby either mate). Cheers ✌️🇦🇺
Thanks very much!! The shots on the beach were taken with tri x film using an M6 and a 35mm voightlander lens
Your portraits are absolutely awesome
Thanks so much! I really appreciate it
Are you still using the Q2 Monochrome? Your work is inspiring. Thanks so much.
Thanks so much! I use the Q2 Monochrom and an M6 and 35mm voightlander lens with trix
@@paulreidphotography 👌
Lovely stuff as ever Paul. Your “8mm” beach movie made me smile.
Chasing light, yes indeed…
On my Q I use Aperture Priority/AF and that seems to work most of the time in monochrome but would you recommend Zone Focussing (that I used to do with some success on a borrowed M8)? ✌️🇦🇺
So it really depends what you are shooting. If it’s fast street stuff then zone is best. I put to 2 meters F8 and run with it for that. Switched back to Auto focus for anything like portraits or anything else I have a bit more time on.
@@paulreidphotography thank you!
I have a question, which finish do you think is the best to print the photo? I remember back in the past when I started with the film to print always in silk and recently I print some photos and I did in silk, I like the filing and when are hang on the wall you can look whiteout reflection but in this modern era the photos are so sharp that maybe the gloss is better in some how. What do you prefer?
For exhibition at as Matt as possible! For a book or print I. The hand a lustre or pearl finish
@@paulreidphotography thank you
