    Had my oven a week now.. Got 3 striped burn marks on my arms had a couple of fights when the ring and lid got stuck together in the middle of cooking. Nothing seems to cook underneath and i forgot I have arthritis finding the thing heavy to work with.. Any tips would be appreciated i wanted a dishwasher but went for the oven to save energy and time... Keep thinking of a dishwasher now 😂

      D, I put my lemon cake in for 50 minutes on 180 but it still wasn't done. Added a further 12 minutes and it was done. Should I increase the temperature in future or add more time? It was a bit dry though but not sure what to do - plse advise.

    hi I tried to bake in my convection oven like you have shown on this video but it was a bad experience cake cooked from up side while uncooked in side I give it even 30 mins how to bake properly

      Very important to use the big ring spacer to make sure the heating element is not burning the top of the cake, this places the cake away from the element, also a small rack needs to be placed under the cake to allow the heat to circulate around the cake.

    Can I put paper cups into halogen oven??

    • @dereton33
      @dereton33  4 роки тому +1

      Yes, but just be careful pulling them out as they would be very hot, depending what was in them.

    when I bake, it's always raising at the edge, never raise in the center as same same as yours.
    (I use high rack and ofcourse the ring go with.)
    I tried spong cake and it was realy good. but i tried cupcake or muffin it;s all gone down.
    Please Help me
    p.s: ca you show me wat kind of cake tat i need to use the ring ???/

    • @dereton33
      @dereton33  8 років тому

      HI khiem, I did not use the ring when I cooked my small cakes and placed the tray on the low rack so that the air could circulate under the cake tin. The tin is a 6 hole one for baking cakes as it fits into the oven easily. Hope this helps. Good cooking! Jan

    Have you tried baking a fruit cake in the halog' oven?

    • @dereton33
      @dereton33  3 роки тому

      Not yet!

    • @jasperine141
      @jasperine141 3 роки тому

      @@dereton33 I've just put one in the halog' oven, no idea on cooking times or temperature. What I bake burns on the top doesn't cook in the middle or underneath so I leave the food to cook for longer but I have to turn it upside down to cook underneath but you can't do that with quiche so that was overcooked but just right in the middle. 🤔. I'd give up but my big oven died on me.

    • @jasperine141
      @jasperine141 3 роки тому

      Well I've cooked the fruit cake in the halog'' oven..180° for 45 minutes and then turned it down to 150° for another hour and had a slice but it's puddinny like bread pudding 🤔

  • @judithhopes151
