Overall the game looks great! If anyone finds any fixes or ways around the crashing please reply so I can include them when I revisit the game next week! EDIT! Cooler boost off, Vram set to auto and drivers updated and STILL CRASHES. No fix yet!
Increase the Windows Virtual memory from 'system controlled' to something like 16+gb and set your the VRAM in armory crate to 6gb. Check if it still happens
@@httzcneeds to be set to 4 for me with the raden lag prevention drive on as well as the boost drive and it works perfectly with low graphics settings for me. I played almost 6 hours last night no crash
The 95 degrees; that's a issue with how the pwm on the ROG ally is engaged at 30 watts onwards, after a bit the system regulates the temps on wall power down to approx 30 watts which means the temps should be somewhere closer to high 70's mid or low 80's under load.
On the Legion Go with vram at auto it didn't crash for me at high settings (I have also an Ally I would assume it will be the same there. Will check later). Also when you say at 30W it goes to 95° you were wrong because you had it at turbo which goes up to 40W while plugged. If you want to keep the temps in check set it to manual fixed 30W.
@@kasar5950 you can even see in his video. When he is complaining that it's 95°C it says on the tdp that it's 39W. If you are on turbo plugged in then it boosts for a short period to 40W. And it gets crazy hot. That's why no one should use turbo. Setting it to manual 30W is the way to go

I would not waste my money on the game if I didn’t have the extreme Mines not crashing I set the vram to 8gb and running low settings and killed motion blur and I am not crashing
I have a higher end pc and the rog ally and wanted to see how it runs on the ally but it does have some issues. If you set your ally to 6gb vram it wont run and crashes but works on Auto but after playing with some settings it crashes for running out of Vram. Mainly the Shadows option. I was running the game at 1600/900 with medium settings and was getting 35-45fps. Also noticed settings wont adhere unless you restart the game.
I had the game running on my linux dsktop distro "Endeavour OS", but after trying tweaking the settings, the game crashes immediately. I plan to test it out on my SD OLED to see how well it performs on that device.
I bought it yesterday cause epic games had it for cheap and it runs ok so far no crashing seems to be doing pretty good only getting around 30 fps but I want to play with the settings some more I have the gpu set to 8gb of ram cause on auto it kept warning me of not enough
I bought Dragons Dogma 2 and refunded my rog ally will explode with the lowest setting stupid Capcom and bought this one looks better.. DD2 graphics looks like ps3 when I all setting slow and in town Fps drops... now I'm happy playung this game and so this run on syeam deck I let my son play it on deck and I play on my Rog.
My friend plays DD2 on it totally fine, I think around medium graphics. I think with most games, for the Ally and Steam deck it varies so much depending on how you tweak the settings, some tell me their games won't run, or crash, others tell me the same games run perfectly smooth, at usually medium graphics getting (30 - 50 fps in general). Annoying to hear this because you can't get a solid idea of how these games will run for you.
Hello, I have a Rog Ally, but I don’t know if this is a problem with my device or something normal with the device. When I put the device on Silent Mode, there is a slight fan sound.

instal latest amd 780m driver. It will fix it and increase your fps.

@@kasar5950it boosts up to 53 watts for 10 seconds then goes down to around 40 for 2 minutes then stays at 30 watts consistently

why not set a custom fan curve for 35 watts, mine doesn't go over 70c.
I saw some comments that if you put the VRam to Auto it should work at not crash.

I got Z1 Extreme and thought the system could definitely handle this game.
Given the specs of the Ally it should be more than for medium/high 720p tbh. And there's no reason it should be crashing like that. It needs work
CPU boost=off and 30w=on, temperature is under 85°
this helps big time but still crashing!

I did that last night and updated all drivers, Also turned CPU booster off in armory crate. Still crashes on arrival. But thanks for the tip!
