Many ornamental flowers and cut flowers are TOXIC. ALWAYS do your own research and take responsibility for the plants that you introduce around your kids, pets, and everyone else. Use common sense when handling plant materials: wear gloves, always wash hands, avoid contact with face, etc. NEVER consume any plant which has not been positively identified with complete certainty to be safe and edible. Before planting anything, research to determine whether specific flowers are considered invasive where you live or if there are laws that apply to their planting in your area.

I couldn't find seeds, so what did I do?
Buy camomile tea to drink, take a fresh(unused) tea bag, sprinkle the contents in potting soil, water, cover for up to 7ish days. Check it out- I got a full 4"pot of sprouts! One box of camomile tea can go a looong way!
Me
@Rare Medium did you ever water it while it was covered?
At what temperature should I leave it until it sprouts ? And should I keep the soil moist all the time ?
I'm in the south and haven't had much luck with spring sowing. I think it gets too hot too fast. I'm glad that you shared about fall sowing. I think that would work better for here. Thanks!
They are surprisingly cold tolerant. Might be worth a try. Good luck!
Omg me starting seeds just right now on the south 🥺 I will leave them with morning sun shade afternoon hopefully that works
It makes a lovely meadow...even a tiny one
So true! It looks super cute.
@@TONYAwiththeflowers can i grow chamomile in trinidad carrbean sun and rain weather please reply

It was so Alluring in Windows 8 default wallpaper, that's how it became my one of Favourite flower
This year finally I have 30 plants with nice growth!
Gorgeous!
I grow my chamomile in containers and the grow great.
tinkernaut I’m having trouble getting mine to sprout! 😩 I think I’m might be cooking them in the heat and they die before they get a chance? Ugh. I’m planting some more. Gonna try starting them inside this time but This will be my 3rd attempt. Lol
Even in a container do you find they spread everywhere?
Indoors or outdoors and what's the temp like? Thanks!
@@phophia outdoors and it grows well all spring summer and fall. We have hot humid summers in zone 7a.
@@Daniellextina87 Keep them moist.
Very helpful, thank you :)
Thanks for the excellent info! I plan to plant in zone 6B! 😊☀️
Good luck! 🌱🌱🌱
Thanks 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hello what part of Kentucky? Do you trim your chamomile during it's growing season?
I dry my plants by spreading the m on big flat clean styrofoam trays . works for me
Thank you honey ! I do love these flowers ! But currently many of my seedslings as they sprout from seed get eaten by birds. They are having a feast, I do not understand many of the seedlings like kollard and swisschard or even coriander is not too apealling to them but the chamomille they are in love ! I guess I need a dog to protect my plants too ahhahahah
I'm growing common chamomile in some pots. It's been 4 weeks. There's no problem so far, they've grown around 4-5 cm. Do you think it will grow well in a tropical country? I'm from Indonesia btw.
is it normally sold in shops.I can farm for both domestic and commercial use
I have some growing in the shade in a pot with another plant and some growing in direct sun in their own pots. I water both thoroughly every day but the ones out in the sun are turning a reddish brown.
Is this a sign of too much watering or too much sun? I can't seem to find the balance. :(
yeah.... too much watter, chamomille doesnt need to much water but need a lot of sunlight, 8 to 7 hrs at day.
@@melaniagalliardo6665 ua-cam.com/video/Y0bSx2_oGAA/v-deo.html
Yes
If the plant turns brown in places should you cut it back or leave it be ?
What soil do you use for it?
Hi there! I believe I watched a video that you did that had Anise on it? I thought I got the idea from you but now that I'm looking to find that video, I can't find it. Any idea which one it was? :) Thanks!
I don't think that was me. I'm pretty certain that I've never grown anise. 🌱🌱🌱
@@TONYAwiththeflowers Shoot! lol Thanks for letting me know!
Hi can i grow chamomile in trinidad please reply
Can you tell me what kind of tiller you were using in this video? Looks like something I could handle by myself, wouldn't have to ask my husband to get that big monster of his out...lol
Its just a cheap tiller/cultivator from Wal-Mart. Its not strong enough to create new beds, but is pretty easy to use in already established spots. 🌱🌱🌱
It’s so funny I don’t get great success with direct sow! I take a yogurt cup and I cut it down to a few inches tall and I fill it with potting soil and then I just sprinkle the chamomile in, then when I see some germination and they get I don’t know, maybe 2 to 3 inches tall, I separate them out and just plug them into the ground, and that’s the only way I’ve been able to get my chamomile to grow in my zone six New York climate. We have pretty gnarly clay salt soil over here, and even with amending it and working on it over the last two years I still have a hard time with a teeny tiny seeds and sowing chamomile directly hopefully in the future I’ll be able to just sprinkle those little suckers into the ground and get some good germination because I really want to start harvesting lots of chamomile and not just handfuls
Any idea how these guys do in a hot climate? I live in Palm Springs where we have very hot summers and in the 20 years I‘ve lived here have only had 3 or 4 freezes, and even then it barely reaches 32-normal winter lows are around 42 degrees, but only for a few weeks. Many flowers go dormant in the summer with highs around 110 degrees throughout the summer. Any chance I could get this to grow here? Thanks!
Did you ever get yours to grow? I’m out in Texas with similar heat but would love to have some beautiful chamomile in our garden
Hello. I live in an island with temperate climate (10º to 30º Celsius), but very rainy, windy and humid. Do you think chamomile would do well in such a climate? Thank you!
Chamomile grows best when temperatures are cool. They might produce some small flowers, but may not get very big. Good luck!
Hi Tonya. Your video title is "How to Grow Chamomile from Seed". Yet you don't show how us to do this? I have just received a packet of Roman Chamomile (Anthemis Nobilis) and the seeds look like fine dust. How would you sow and grow this?
I stay in Malaysia, hot, do u think it will grow? Only can grow at balcony, but hottttt
Why were you cutting the flower tops for????
For tea
It's called dead head, it improves flowering production.
Im germinating the seed but have no luck this far,it's been 2 weeks and imin tropical country
Can these take a frost
Yes
My chamomile seeds look different 🤔
Are they full sun?
Yes, I always plant them in full sun. 🌱🌱🌱
Idk that's chamomile looks like-
Lol there alot of that on my country
These are basically weeds in some areas.
Not easy in 7b pandemic .... Any hacks
Can I grow this in my tiny ass balcony 😣
You can absolutely grow chamomile in containers! Just give it plenty of sun and make sure your pot has good drainage so the plant won't rot.
I have seeds ❤❤❤❤❤❤
