The best part? Each of these is the "standard" version of each biomorph. Tyranids adapt incredibly rapidly. That's why there's no one strategy to deal with them, because they will evolve to deal with it. Just to give a bit of perspective on it, Tyranids once got caught on a planet which some Nurgle Daemons were trying to invade. The Tyranids and Nurgle Daemons both made the planet too toxic for each other to live, so both abandoned the war. But now, those same Tyranids have fought Nurgle Daemons again, and were basically immune to all the plagues and diseases the Daemons sent. So not only did they adapt an immunity to Nurgle's plagues, but they also have such incredibly deadly toxins that even Nurgle's Daemons can't withstand them.
The Nephilim King? I haven't heard of this particular Hive Tyrant before and now I wish he would be given a model. Nids are in desperate need of named characters ;w;

Swarmlord will have it's day, mark my words. The 'nid's haven't eaten a Primarch yet, and what better way to underscore the reunion of Lion and Gil than with one of them being eaten moments before they can embrace.
As a tyranid main im hoping that gw will give the red terror a new model and rules, also hoping for the doom of malantai, updated warrior and prime, shrikes, new tyrant and hive gaurd, a good and not massive heirophant, and a updated old one eye model because his model has a very boring pose
Im currently stripping my entire 8k point army of nids to give them a beautiful repaint with 10 more years of painting experience. Thanks for the video to keep me company while i hunker down.
Excellent video thank you! Red terror was released around Black Friday of this year as a limited edition model on the website. I got one and it looks awesome
5:40 small correction hormagaunts, unlike termagaunts, dont actually have a stomach so while they will hunt, they cant eat they are hyperevolved for speed and durability, and that includes removing all unnecessary organs that could get damaged in combat or slow down the nid on its way to combat instead it carries multiple tiny eggs and it will expend its energy reserves in the attempt to die in a pile of enemy dead where the eggs will hatch, the babies will eat both their parent and the enemy fallen to cocoon into the next generation of hormagaunts including the energy reserves to get to the meal for the next generation this keeps them on a short timer, ensuring hyperagression and it allows for faster adaptation as local genetics can be integrated in a single days lasting generation to ensure the brood is adapted for the environment, while also ensuring they have appropriate numbers while on an enemy and thus food rich planet also why you wont find any hormagaunts on hive ships, only termagaunts while they look very similar to eachother, the similarity is only skin deep as their internals and purpose are completely different ... also no fucking just semi cloning along with some stray genetics from whatever died with the parent
Definetly considering it, love those creepy cultists. Would like to do a faction video at some point for them as well, those twisted helix guys are super fucked up!
@@austinstoner1988 Can't say I have sadly, with how limited my time is recently I tend to only play the main story of games. Maybe one day I shall have time for all the mods and DLC haha
@barthelloren that's too bad. Unification expands upon the existing 9 factions and adds 27 mf more!! Fixing to be a new update that will expand further.
Meta-wise it is just a name change to differentiate between the old Tyranid Genestealer-leader and the new GSC leader model. Lore-wise a Broodlord is created by a Norn-Queen on a Tyranid ship specifically to lead a group of handcrafted purestrain genestealers into battle. A patriarch meanwhile is a Genestealer that has mutated into a Broodlord because of a lack of direction in a Genestealer Cult/pack. It's a bit of a technicality though, they're virtually the same organism just a different origin.
Hormagaunts can breed themselves? Pretty sure all Tyranid organisms are unable to breed other than certain hive ships, Genestealers and Tervigon. Unless there's been new lore added.
“Incase a prey is as fat as yo momma” made me giggle

I was playing this in the background but the Bukkake comment took me out lmao
There are more than one way you can gather biomass and use it, the nids knows this and aren't they lovely
Could you do Genestealer Cults when the codex hits this summer?

Yes, according to the 5th edition codex so not new but rather old lore ;)

Never seen a carnifex been described as a gribbly shrimp but hey, you do you ;)
