So great as always, Melanie! FYI your mystery candle is actually from the company Northern Lights, and Esque refers to a specific line of globe vessels in their catalogue. The scent is “Mysteria.” I would add a link, but UA-cam doesn’t allow it 😉 Northern Lights has a lot of great scents!
Oh thank you! That makes sense. I knew Esque was somewhere in the name. The bottom of the box that came with the original candle said Esque on it but did not list the scent.
I also love Sicilian Orange and my new favorite Christmas Tree fragrance,Juniper and Laurel. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try Wishing for Christmas, so I will also beg Kringle to make it a permanent scent this coming Christmas.
Great Video Melanie! I really hope Kringle doesn't change their Country Jars. The Country are my favorite. One of the things I love about Kringle is that they have something for everyone. If they take away the paraffin Country that changes things.
I have a feeling there will be a few people disappointed by this, but overall I think there are still a number of other companies who will still do paraffin. so I don't think you will nothing to choose from. I doubt Yankee will ever totally do away with it. Personally I don't love the burn so I am 100% ok with a changeover.
Late to the Party: Kringle, New Favs: Sicilian Orange (Luv), Home For Christmas (Beautiful Pomander & Fireside-ish), Wisteria (In Top 3 florals, all companies); Also Luv Juniper & Laurel, Snow Capped Frasier, Apple Cinnamon Muffin (apple note also similar to Yankee Tarte Tatin), Blackberry Buttercream, Buttery Croissant and Knitted Cashmere. If Mick reads any of our comments, please release Tarte Tatin in Kringle version!! I still have 1 1/2 & love it so. Happy New Year! xoxox
When I saw the title of this video, I tried to guess your 5 faves. One of our Kringle favorites is the same: Sicilian Orange!🍊I was burning it before I watched the video. I guessed 3 of your 5 correctly. 😊 (Missed Sanctuary & Apple Cider Cake.) I thought you’d choose Away in a Manger since it was one of your Kringle collab testers. My other 4 faves: ♥️ Cranmary, Aurum & Evergreen, Rosemary Lemon, & Pumpkin Peppercorn. The 100% soy formulas is superior quality; love the low maintenance, clean burns, awesome scents, & really good prices for the quality. Agreed that we can kindly ask Mick to please 🙏🏼 keep making Sicilian Orange! 🍊🌿 Happy New Year! Here’s to many more Kringle faves in 2023! 🎉☘️
I really enjoy Kringle candles, both in the soy and paraffin. Paraffin definitely has its draw backs, but I appreciate the aesthetic of the country candle jars more than they soy jars as it suits my modern farmhouse decor better. I hope they keep a rustic styled jar in their line up because I really enjoy their candles. Some of my Kringle favorites are apple cider donut, fresh lilac, and holiday cookies. I agree with you that they need to add more gourmand fragrances to their line up.
@@MrKongsMom Melanie, in your video you mentioned that Kringle is open to constructive criticism. I think it would be helpful if they would consider listing the scent notes on their candles. It is a nice reference when trying to remember which notes are in a particular fragrance. If you can pass that on it would be much appreciated. Thank you for putting out such great home fragrance videos!
I adore the soy formula! If anyone wants paraffin, there is Village Candles still doing it if KCC stops using it. They are pretty good too from what I have heard. I buy the minis from them as they are cute. Kringle is the best choice for me and what I am looking for in a candle.
Hi Melanie, thanks for another great video! I just placed my first Kringle order. I ordered a wax warmer and a bunch of the “cozy” scents. Do you happen to know if the wax melts are soy, a soy blend or paraffin? Also, do you like their wax melts?
I am not 100% but I think they are a blend of waxes. They feel like a soy blend with maybe a bit of paraffin. I like them but they usually go very quickly for me. By the second day I cannot smell them anymore really. But they are a great way to try scents since they are more affordable.
@@MrKongsMom Awesome - thank you! That's exactly what I'm using them for - to try out scents. I also love your suggestion of mixing different scents. I do this with my perfumes and I love the idea of doing it with my home fragrance. Take care!
I think my favorites from Kringle 2022 were for sure Sicilian Orange, Fiji, Essentials, Cozy Christmas (again), and Cozy Cabin. Honorable mention from 2021 that I just didn’t get to this year, Aurum & Evergreen. Likely a favorite for 2023 (just because I couldn’t get to it until new year) Away in a Manger. All soy. I agree with you, I’d love it if Kringle would come out with more gourmands in the new 3 wick format. Though maybe not because I’m trying to go on a low buy for the first part of 2023. 😂
I am trying to hold back for the beginning of this year as well. I still have a few holiday scents to review quite honestly so until I get done with those I probably have no business buying more lol!
Adding some Yankee favs here in case Mick reads comments (hoping, lol). Autumn In the Park (Favorite Fall candle. It's a better take on BBW Autumn), Tarte Tatin***, Evergreen Mist, Singing Carols, Sugared Apple, Holiday Sage, Peach & Lavender, Hydrangea.
I've never purchased Kringle before, but I have a cart full of Country candles because the sale prices are fantastic. BUT if Kringle is about to do a Goose Creek and eliminate paraffin jars, I don't want to fall in love with something that's going away. ☹️
I see paraffin going to the wayside from a lot of companies. It has a really bad reputation for burn I feel like. I don't love it. I did at Yankee back in the day but after everything started being weak and sooting like crazy, I was happy to leave it behind. I love Kringle but the country candles to require more work from me and I would love for them to all be the soy 🤞. I think you'll always be able to find some companies that make paraffin however.
They seem to be approaching that with a "random release" approach. I know there are more scents in the lineup that are due to come up at some point. I anticipate continuing to see releases from that line.
I wish I could get behind Kringle as much as HW and BBW. Well, not HW lately. Lol! But I have had VERY light throws from them...the 2 wicks specifically. Now soy ones DO burn clean and nice but I don't want to have to put my nose over the jar to smell it. I tried Deck the Halls in the 3 wick and it was strong. I could actually put it in my living room! So, maybe the other 3 wicks with all soy will have more scent. I agree with them needing more gourmand scents. It may make me try them more.
Yes, I always resorted to the 3-wicks of favorites for stronger throw. Now those are being reformulated to 100% soy. I've seen a fair bit of likewise discussion on social media - lamenting the change. I guess we'll see. Hoping for the best! Mick demonstrates that he can adapt & change as needed!
Love this series! I agree w/ you. We def need more gourmand & fruity scents (I have so many ideas/wishes in my heads... Haha...) I'd love to see Pink Grapefruit making a come back... 🤗💕 I also love PEAR scents (Poached pear, baked goods w/ pears... etc'). Btw, talking about #PearLove 🍐 Lol... It reminds me, that a few days ago I heard a rumor that #AnjoPearandAllSpice is coming off the shelf... discontinued... 🤯 Is this true?! And if so, does it include only the COUNTRY line Anjou Pear (W/ the green paraffin wax) or does it include the KRINGLE line/pear as well?! I'm so... dePEARessed... 🤪 Sorry! I had too... Even when I'm sad (or... ESPECIALLY when I'm sad...) I have to look for reasons to laugh & decompress! Plz, Melanie! Give me some good news! Tell me these rumors are totally bogus... 😇 #PrettyPlease
I am actually not sure if Pear is going away. I have not heard anything formal yet on discontinuing scents myself. That being said... I do know changes are coming to Country Candles.
Oh, and I wanted to ask you one more thing... 😊 Yesterday I received a very nice email from Kringle, saying that they added another 300 points for my birthday. Do I have to use these points right away? I mean, it is a great timing, after all (With their clearance sale) And I've accumulated a lot of points that I haven't redeemed yet. So I still have my 20% discount, if I'm not mistaken... 🛒 🛍 #HereICome But in general, can I keep my B-day points? Or they'll expire? Thanks a lot in advance & happy new year!
Will you put the names of the scents in the description box please? What is the name of the apple one in the country jar? Makes it easier when placing an order. I don't have much time left. I can't keep going back and forth over a 25 min video looking for the names of the scents. Thanks!
@@MrKongsMom Thank you so much. I 'm getting old and grouchy and forgetful. It makes it easier to place an order of your favorites if I have a list in front of me.
