- Here’s my upgraded Kenworth T660 tour! We did the exterior as well as the trailer. It’s always a good idea to keep your truck clean in this trucking game and we do the best we can to do so. We got her shined up and looking pretty for the tour. Here’s what I’ve done to her to upgrade her.
MM2 tune with 545 horsepower
Added boost gauge and pyrometer gauge
Michelin X-Line Energy drives
Added quick release valve for coolant
Legacy KW logo seat
Custom steering wheel
Extended shifter
Chrome rocker switches
Updated fuel pump (even though already been updated)
Entirely new brakes, shocks, and air bags (except cab, will replace those soon)
Almost brand new suspension
High quality antennas
Replaced 2 coolant tubes
EGR tune up
New batteries
Completely cleaned the ENTIRE Dpf system
New ABS speed sensor
New leveling valve
Better air lines
Ran overhead immediately (zero wear on cam and lobes 👍🏻)
PM services roughly every 12k miles
And plenty of other maintenance along the way lol

Rawze tuned my truck four years ago. We set the hp at 485. 2011 Prostar 355 rears and a 13 speed. 8s and 9s loaded. 53’ Fontaine step deck. Don’t worry I give Sammy crap all the time too 😎👊stepping out with the step deck.

Yeaaaah West Virginia ole 79 probably has been a pain to drive on a few times if you are in WV/PA often always accidents on that stretch.
You didn't wash the gas off your tank after spilling it on? That would have driven me nuts! Also, you can always save your money for an enclosed headache rack when you get your next truck.

John W thanks! Honestly I don’t know as 48’ was my only flat option at Mercer. I would think 53’ would be better for the extra foot of space without having to go OD (48 can carry 52 without being over dimensional) but that’s just speculation.
How can you tell if they updated the fuel pump looking into purchasing a 2012 t660 with 463k
First look at the entire fuel pump and if it’s not still red, oem, most likely it’s been changed HOWEVER, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s been updated, that’s just a good indicator it may have been. Unfortunately the only way to tell is opening it and checking for those ceramic parts. It has to be opened up and looked at inside.
Whats with the plate on the grille and not on the bumper? Any plans for a new truck anytime soon? Do you own the trailer, I noticed it had Mercer mud flaps. Nice rig none the less, you clearly keep is clean and run a good show😎😎
Union Pacific Fan thanks! I keep the plate on the grill in case I use an oversize sign across my bumper. New truck...not sure lol. Technically I lease the trailer from Mercer but if I make all the payments, she’s mine so kind of yes I own it but kind of no. I appreciate the kind words, thanks for watching!

Wheel base is 240 so a bit of a bumpy ride. Technically it’s my trailer, I’m the only one that uses it. It’s a lease purchase through Mercer. Once the 60th payment is made, I get the title to it. Good luck!
