I absolutely love that myth units from previous ages get a boost when you age up. Usually you're limited to one "strong" myth unit in the mythic age and are thus pretty reliant on one resource, but here the switch from the gold-based colossus to the food-based hydras was beautiful
Moving up a monument to empower with your second pharaoh can be a huge boost to unit production. Also to boost defense as it affects all towers, migdols and TCs (and citadels). If you grab a forward TC with shifting sands, upgrade it to citadel, flank it with migdols and empower the whole area with a monument and pharaoh, it becomes a very hard spot to assault, plus a production hotspot.
Aww, Fitz really deserved to win this one with those rare Scarab plays. Hopefully after Egyptians get some much-needed buffs in a balance patch we'll be seeing more than just Greek victories.
i have been enjoying your retold videos a lot man, good job. one question: Can you use your observer mode to have for example on this game, reds info on the left so it lines up with the players bases? it would be a nice quality of life touch as a viewer. if not, still great though.
Im not pro but Ra player killed his own Son of Osiris huuuge mistake it works really well with mummies, the 2nd thing he didnt empower monument which gives huge boost to favour, also im wondering why no one ever uses shifting sands you can snipe villagers with it and its cheap in favour
If you can get a wander, you can have even more. Put them on empowering the monuments, keep upgrading pharaohs to Sons, and you can basically do it on cooldown. Even Better with Isis where empowered monuments give even more favor. Sons of Osiris do not count as Pharaohs, so every time you upgrade one, it's as if the Pharaoh died, and a new Pharaoh will spawn after the regular cooldown.
When the scarabs die they make a damaging explosion, if you combine that with the AOE special attack from the mummies, you can have a bunch of enemy units afflicted and damaged by the explosion, dying and transforming into minions
Wanted to say this. They were arguabily too strong before, but since pharaos and priests can be sniped easely it's pretty difficult to deal with those heavy myth units
nah they are not weak, he didnt upgrade it and its really really important to have Son of Osiris with them for fast minions its synergizes really well.
and scarabs looks like classical myth unit now 😀. I was stressing about that before it came out, but nobody made a change. They left scarab with 5% hack armor 😀, its pathetic.

Never thought Age of Mythology would be a 2024 video game.
18:50 The thumbnail moment
That Son of Osiris apparently thought a walkabout would be a good idea. Nooooo! 😂😅
That actually cost him the game

20 year habits are hard to break Boit 😂
Oof, it hurt when you said at 25:10 "how to deal with mass colossi" thinking about that SoO just getting wasted early on for zero reason.
Tell SoO to switch to terran an mass vikings
"Titans action"? Literally unwatchable 😱
"Uh I was account sharing, that was my brother" - me when I get smoked
Man that Son of Osiris was sad to see perish for free. I wondered how much value he can get from him. :(
Losing that Son of Osiris in such a bad way definitely was part of why FitzBro lost.
GG! Really was frustrated when anxiety didn't destroy the production buildings!
sick comeback, bellerophon is goated

I would love to see boit do this build with more clean build. Very exciting strat

@@Ewerboweski Unfortunately the technology isn't there yet. I want this too!
Age of Mythology is by far the most enjoyable Age of game to watch.
Great cast is the cherry on top.
Oh GUA is an AOM oldhead? I'm keen he brings his namesake to most games

What do the red/blue bars mean on the resource board?
bring back one kill mummies
Heck yeah fitzbro 😊
How is the pharaoh empowering all 4 granaries ?
Wait can you have 2 Son of Osiris at a time with the 2x pharaoh tech?

In V age you could have more than 5 Son of Osiris really easy
I beat giveuanxiety as a 1700 voobly player
Can someone explain the interaction that is happening with the explosions around the 18:50 fight?
When the scarabs die they make a damaging explosion, if you combine that with the AOE special attack from the mummies, you can have a bunch of enemy units afflicted and damaged by the explosion, dying and transforming into minions
For a solid 10 minutes I had hope as a ra main 😢 Back to my side deal posie.
They butchered the purpose of mummy so now there is no way Ra can stop colossus spam. This matchup is now easily 100% in favor of Zeus.
Boit can you do the cheese hydra animal kill?
Long time no siege
Mummy doesn't devour myth units anymore?
wtf was that son of osiris
22:02 it's lifesteal! Literally unwatchable
mummies look kinda weak ngl

if you micro them correctly in your army, i can assure you they can be terrifying
what was changed about them?
@@ashiinsane90 when you compare it with other mythic age units they are quite underwhelming imo
That thumbnail looks horrendously bad...
Mummies looks like weak heroic myth units now
