In this video you will see a lady works at workshop with her husband when his striker is away a for a big religious holiday. His wife had worked with him a lot before his male striker came. They are making an almazan kitchen knife from a scrape for spring leaf. The almazan knife is made for the purpose of cutting animal rips or small steel like you are going to see in the video..
It looks very nice and the quality is really good as it made from high carbon steel.

@ In my opinion, it is nice for the couple to cooperate in all aspects of life, but in my local culture mostly the wife does not interfere with what the husband must do.

This blacksmith is awe inspiring. I am a knife maker as well, and you should see my expensive equipment. What I like about this guy is he uses simple equipment, and techniques. I love watching this channel.
I think what I enjoy the most about this is the make-do ingenuity to work with the tools and resources he has. You can find many channels where all the latest equipment, tools, and technology are shoved into a workshop, and those will give you impression that none of this can be accomplished without spending thousands of dollars.
Family is so important I'm glad u have a person who is there both in body and soul to enjoy life with another great video thanks

Any one noticed the metallurgical knowledge behind this couple skill?
1. They selected the leaf spring blade which is tough.
2. It is heated below crystallization while hammering without losing its properties.
3. The hardening of the tip by wet quenching.
Little disappointed with handle making as I have seen better way of inserting the handles without any screws. Great video editing.

No contempt to the ladies but I never saw a woman doing that much hard work my whole life. They’re mostly not involved in any sort of engineering and a handful of them who are prefer fully automatic and self running processes. This lady here is great. Respect ✊

Considering the energy required to make steel, I get immense pleasure seeing it forged into something useful instead of being discarded.

Blacksmithing is the easy bit, its getting the wife to work like her that's difficult.
They have gone through a very difficult situation of life that his wife had to do this hard work a lot in the past. She does not do it a lot now, but sometimes she thinks this is part of her exercise and when the regular striker is away.

That's a very good quality knife! Not many blacksmiths can make a blade that cuts nails in half without damaging the blade. He and his wife are a wonderful team, they worked together great. And the knife is amazing! I would be very happy to own a blade that good. They deffinatly have the experience and skills required to make world class blades. Congratulations on a job well done!

You always have the hardest steel, and old hard wood hardwood handles, like old school forging, what i seen in this video was impressive, keep up the good forging.

Как бывший кузнец могу сказать что про женщин молотобойцев даже и не слышал. Дело не хитрое но без сноровки может и здоровье пострадать. Женщины кузнецы попадаются. Браво : профессионально с кувалдой обращается. Тем более что ручка металлическая. Деревянная прощает ошибки металлическая никогда.
