    In a world of opera that is full of them, Giovanna may well be the worst maid/lady-in waiting of them all! How did she get the job in the first place? Suzuki and Brangane are at the other end of the spectrum, though Brangane isn't very good at mixing drinks...
    Aside from that, the singing is great, with Vittorio giving his High C a rest at the end of the duet. Looking forward to tuning in tomorrow night.

      Especially for the poor tenors. For some reason, conductors love to rush this piece and the singers are often reduced to having to make a mad lunge at the high note rather than just playing it safe and going for what Verdi wrote. No matter if they hit the high note squarely or not, the audience reaction to this part of the duet is always muted as they are really waiting for Caro Nome...
