    1974 T500 was my first bike when I was 17 and I'm now 57 with a Boulivard,
I'd pay out the ass to ride that bike again !!! Awesome memories ...

Iv'e owned so many of your vintage Japanese bikes. This one is no exception had a red and white T500 loved it lots of power and was pulled over by the police and they wanted me to know my bike was smoking. lol Anyway's sold it to buy a GT550 triple.

They're great bikes. I had a 1975 T500M and also a later GT500 which had electronic ignition. The earlier ones are a little faster and definitely worth having the extra 200cc gearbox oil modification carried out. I've actually just JB Welded the magnets into place on my SV1000 and do sometimes wonder why Suzuki, who make some really enjoyable bikes, allow pretty silly design flaws to mar otherwise nice machines.

Bought a 1976 GT500 new. It was a great bike and I wish I still had it. It was the first year the Titan had a bigger 4.5 gallon tank and they put a disk on the front wheel. Some people didn't like the look of the bigger tank but I appreciated ;the extra distance I could ride without having to stop for gas.

Gorgeous 2~Stroke, I absolutely love the late 60's early 70's Suzuki's & Honda's. Its a shame if they are illegal to ride, I'd love to own one because they're a lot more affordable than the GT750 Water Buffalo and my ultimate dream bike a Honda CB750 Super Sport. A 1969 original is worth a lot of money, I think one recently sold for nearly 150,000 dollars. The Suzuki T 500 is a great bike, I'd love to own one if I could ride it legally.

Why is it illegal to ride? I ride my 1973 T500 and 1975 CB750 all the time.

I have owned two Titans, one in the 1980s and another in the early 2000s. At the time the Titan was introduced it was thought that a 500cc twin was impossible, that it could not dissipate the heat so Suzuki over-engineered it. The factory may have raced custom built models but the street version was never considered fast. It was reliable. It was a great tourer. All except that it got crap gas mileage which was especially a problem after the 1973 gas crisis. But in the 2000s it was a hoot to ride a smoke belching rice burner. And it does go and go.

$5000 to restore ha ha My Nice Orange and white 72' model cost me $1240 new. Canadian $ also ha ha Good highway bike. 5th like an overdrive could cruise over 70mph get 60 mpg. First gear could lift the front wheel easily. Fairly heavy but well balanced. Took it off road and over small jumps quite a bit.

As much power as a 1000 cc 4 cylinders with 2 spark plug wires pulled off. That’s a 14.2 second 1/4 mile bike. I love them but don’t exaggerate.
