  • This trail was completed in March 2022. The first day was partial rain and great temps. The second day was plagued by rain ending in a monsoon where I needed a family member to get me in Sarasota. The trails are really great. I highly recommend giving this a partial tour or a complete tour. This video is a route recap, and I will make a highlight reel eventually.
From East to West the trail starts in Titusville and ends at Demens Landing Park in downtown St. Pete next to the St. Pete Pier. Rather than Clearwater.

Two things. The trail in Titusville actually starts on the opposite side of the Indian River. After starting and you cross over the big bridge, it crosses over to the left side of the road and passes thru Downtown Titusville. It is well marked. On the other side of US 1, you catch the trail bridge that will take you over Garden st. You never have to endanger yourself on US 1 or any busy street.
Two, in Osteen, don’t get off the trail. Take it all the way down to Gemini Springs. Just past the entrance hang a left and follow it down to the I-4 exit ramp. Cross there and follow it up to the Pedestrian bridge over I-4 where you eventually ended up. It is 100% trail all the way and you will have food and Water options. No road riding. 17-92 in Sanford ( the area you did not like much) is not a great riding area. I can share the route if ya need it but it would be a much safer route.

Thanks for all the great info! The west end of the FL C2C actually ends at Demens Landing Park in downtown St. Pete next to the St. Pete Pier. Rather than Clearwater.

Thank you for all of the detail. I rode this west to east in late April, finishing with a ride up the coast to Jacksonville. Most of it was really beautiful, and I managed to avoid riding in the rain. The down side was that the heat and humidity were starting to be a factor. I’m from the Kansas City area.

Thank you so much! Me and a friend are riding it in December. I’ll be 67 (from Tennessee) and she’s 62, from California, and is meeting me in Daytona. We’ll drive our bikes to the trailhead in Titusville and take off from there. She said she dies t do hills well but I know she rides alit abs is in good shape. Aerobic strength at our age is not what it was but we’re determined. I rode about 70 miles my first day on my solo ride on the Virginia Capital Trail (VCT). I believe I was in heaven those 2 days (Williamsburg to Richmond and return). Your info/video is so helpful. I am making all of the arrangements so I really appreciate this. Bike on! 👍🏼👍🏼

Looks like you got a little confused at East Lake/Keystone. From east to west, you end up on the SE corner of that intersection. You need to cross to the NW corner and continue westbound to stay on the Pinellas Trail. Stay on this trail for about 3.5 miles and turn right at Melon Street....its easy to miss this turn on the trail. From there, its pretty hard to lose the trail all the way to the end of the trail at Demmings Landing.

I haven't rode this trail yet, but according to some of the other videos I've watched, taking a right after the bridge past Osteen is better. Most take that road (415/Celery Avenue) west and then cut north to downtown to the riverfront area where there are a lot of bars and restaurants. There's a trail along the lake that goes under I4 where you can turn south and eventually catch the Seminole Wekiva trail via 17, 46, and International Avenue. Thanks for sharing.
